Ainslee paced the entry way to the ED. She was worried about Iain. She needed to see her daughter. To see she was okay.

An ambulance pulled up. Ainslee ran out. She saw Iain sitting there with Ebony in his arms. "What happened?" She asked.

Iain sighed. "We were driving to McDonald's. This guy sped right up to me. Crashed into the back seat of the car. There wasn't any visible damage to Ebs. But they want to check there's no internal damage to her," he said.

Ainslee looked to him and sighed. She took Ebony from him and smiled. "She's going to be okay. I know she is."

"I'm sorry babe."

Ainslee looked to him. She handed ebony to Hannah who was going to look after her. She took his and smiled. "She's going to be okay. This wasn't your fault. This was the idiot who was driving like a maniac," she told him as she kissed him.

Iain turned and walked off. Ainslee stood Tibet and sighed. She didn't know what was going on with him.

Ainslee didn't blame him. She blamed the person who was driving the other car.

Connie came over. "Hannah works with babies and children. So she'll be the best one to look after Ebony. It's all going to be okay. I promise you. She will be okay."

"Will she really?"

Connie nodded. She smiled. "Go and get some coffee. It's going to be a long night," she told her.

Ainslee looked up as she saw Hannah. She looked to her. "Well?" She asked.

Hannah sighed. "We're going to have to take Ebony in for surgery. She's got severe damage done to her stomach. It wasn't picked up initially. But a CT scan picked it up. We're gonna get her in as soon as we can."

"Han. Is she going to die?"

Hannah shook her head. "I'm not going to let her die. I promise. She's my niece. And she's not going anywhere. I'm going to be right by her side through the whole thing."

Ainslee nodded. "So explain to me what's happened."

"Her stomach... it's where her heart should be. I don't know how bad the impact was. But her stomach has shifted."

Ainslee felt sick at the thought of her daughter going through what she was. "Keep her alive. Please," she said.

"I will. I promise."

Ainslee went to see Iain. She found him in the ambulance bay. "Ebony has to go for surgery. Her stomach was where her heart should be. So they're needing to operate."

"I caused this. I'm a useless dad."

Ainslee shook her head. She sat down with him. "Babe this isn't your fault. You are not to blame. The wanker who caused the crash is. She will be fine."

Iain shook his head. "If she dies, it's on me. I will have killed my own daughter."

"Iain stop. You aren't to blame."

Iain looked to her and sighed. "I need to be alone. I can't do this."

Ainslee was sitting with Ebony. She took her hand and smiled. "Whatever happens, I promise mummy will always love you. And always be there for you," she said as she kissed her head.

But would Ebony survive the operation?
