"I don't think Linh should go," Tam says as you all decide who should and shouldn't go. 

"I have much better control now, Tam. And besides. With all that water, I could be a useful ally," Linh argues.

"I just don't want you to get hurt," Tam retaliates. 

"I won't get hurt. And with all the water nearby, I have a lot of power and resources to help fight if needed," she argues.

"Then I really don't want you there," he argues. You sigh.

"Both of you shut it. Linh's right. As much as I love how protective you are, Tam, that doesn't mean you get to keep Linh or me from going. Linh's ability is going to be our greatest strength in there and Fintan, if he's there, is still feeling the guilt from what he did to you and me. He won't want to add onto it, meaning we should both go. He also knows he'll be hurting me more if he hurts Keefe and hurting Sophie would hurt Keefe and hurting Dex would hurt Sophie and hurting Biana could hurt Dex and hurting Fitz would hurt Biana and hurting Sophie would hurt Fitz," you say. Everyone stares at you. Most in shock. Keefe with the look of a proud brother.

"How long did it take for you to come up with all that?" Dex asks.

"That was all improv," you respond, making everyone more shocked.

"So. According to Y/n, we bring her, Tam, Linh, Keefe, Dex, me, Biana, Fitz, and me. Anyone else?" Sophie asks.

"Marella should come too if we're dealing with the gorgodons," Fitz says.

"Y/n, Tam, Linh, Keefe, Dex, Biana, Fitz, Marella, and me. Anyone else?" Sophie asks.

"You're insane if you think I'm not coming," Sandor and all the bodyguards say.

"And you're all insane if you think I won't trap you in a cage of shadowflux or fire. We have to be inconspicuous. The Neverseen are smart. They won't let us waltz into Nightfall if we have all bodyguards. Ro and Sandor, only. Any other bodyguards stay here. We can bring Grady if it'll make you feel better. It won't do anything though. He won't be able to use his ability on them with the new headdresses they have. It's specially made to block all mental abilities, including Sophie's Telepathy. Even if it's linked with Fitz's. The only mental damage we'd be able to do is if Tam and I launch shadowflux into their brains. And if Umber's there, we might not stand a chance anyway. She's quick. If she is there, we'll have to incapacitate her first. Burn her, or something. They still don't know that Marella's a Pyrokinetic so bringing her is definitely smart. That's all. Anymore and we won't be inconspicuous. And do not argue," you explain. Everyone looks at you. The bodyguards glare. Grady looks thankful. Keefe looks proud and upset that Ro is coming. Sandor looks both pissed and content. Sophie and Fitz are a little upset that their Cognate abilities won't work. Tam is having a proud boyfriend moment. Biana is fixing her dress. Everyone is shocked, though. They weren't expecting such an outburst.

"Y/n, Linh, Keefe, Dex, Biana, Fitz, Sophie, Marella, Grady, Sandor, Ro, and me. That's all," Tam concludes. You nod. Everyone leaves to get a little more ready when you're surrounded by bodyguards. All of them except Sandor and Ro. They all start yelling at you for saying they can't come. You summon a ball of fire over your palm. Everblaze.

"Everyone back up," you threaten. They all do and you extinguish the flame. You go to Solreef and change. Tam comes in as you slip your shirt over your head. He sees the scars from when you were a prisoner of the Neverseen and you can feel him fill up with anger.  And a need for revenge. But you still feel the love he has for you.

"Calm down, Tammy. I already maimed a few of them with an Everblaze storm in one of their hideouts. And that anger isn't good for if Vespera, or any other Empath, is there. Vespera's numb and she'll still be able to feel it and place what it is. And who's feeling it. I already got revenge. That anger will make our presence known," you explain. He walks over and hugs you from behind. You turn around and hug him back. He kisses the top of your head, and you look up to meet his silver-blue eyes. They meet your ice blue eyes. You both lean in and are centimeters apart when the door bursts open.
