I was stunned. I didn't know what to do, how to react, or wether to believe her or not.
It made sense if it was all lies because of jealousy, but, why would you go to the extremes of lying about someone killing someone? knowing full well it could get you in a lot of trouble.
"What's wrong?" Harriet laughed, walking towards me, knowing something was up due to my facial expression.
"Uh, um, nothing, I, um, have to go" I stuttered as I got up.
"Jess are you sure there's nothing wrong?" Harriet asked as I ran through the house.
"Yes I'm fine" I shouted.
I made my way up the street and back to my house.
My head was full of questions.. Should I ring George or wait till he got home? Do I believe her or not? Should I tell someone? What was I going to do?
All the way home I thought and thought about it. George didn't seem like the type of guy that would have a fight so definitely not kill someone.
There was no point in me over thinking things because I had an amazing weekend ahead of me. My mum was on holiday with her friends, Amy was staying the weekend at her dads, so my mum said I could have the girls around for a girlie weekend.
Harriet text me:
Jess what has happened??
I replied:
Nothing, I'll see you later x
Harriet was also coming over as well as Liv, Shanay and Murron.
I arrived at my front door, unlocked it and walked in. It was so peaceful not having anyone home.
I made my way over to the fridge and pulled out a two litre bottle of coke all to myself. I also helped myself to a slab of dairy milk chocolate and a packet of wine gums.
As I slouched down onto the sofa in the living room, I decided to do a small amount of homework as I only had a week left until I had to go back to school.
I picked up my English book which was on the living room table and read the note inside from my teacher. My task was to do an essay on someone who means a lot to me and explain why.
I didn't know who to pick. I would say my mum or Amy but I never see them as much as I used to as I'm growing older, so I decided to write about Liv.
It was a 500 word essay. I scribbled out a few bullet points on a bit of scrap paper so I knew what I was writing about. I then began.
I struggled to get to 500 words but after changing and adding different words, I did it.
I was quite proud with how it turned out. It was touching what I wrote too, I knew my teacher was going to like it because I went into a lot of detail.
After demolishing my packet of wine gums and chocolate, I decided that it was my lunch as I felt too sick to eat anything else.
I turned on the tv and flicked through the channels. There was nothing really on. Just the Jerry Springer show which I found very amusing so I watched that.
I found it pretty sad how people would go on a show and share publicly that their partner has cheated, then start a fight. Couldn't they just do that in private?
I had a call from Liv..
Hello?
Hi Jess, so what time tonight?
About 6ish?
Okay see you in a bit then
Okay bye
