Jk pov

As soon as I enter the classroom all eyes are on me, including the teacher's.
I can't blame them. I'm 20 minutes late or to be more specific: I enjoyed 20 minutes more of my sweet sleep before Jin kicked me out of the house, forcing me to go to school.

My teacher just rolls his eyes at me before continuing the lesson. I give him a quick nod and slender to my seat nonchalantly.
At least I'm here, right?
When I'm settled on the uncomfortable school chair, my eyes scan the entire room, looking for one specific person.
It's been 3 days since Olivia stopped attending classes or contacted me and an uneasy feeling started growing inside of me.
She really cares about her grades in school, so she never misses any classes.
'She's like a little nerd' , I think and start chuckling.
I'm drunk in my own thoughts when suddenly I come eye to eye with Lisa.
She's looking at me intensely and when I raise my brows at her she just turns around facing the front.
Weird.
As usual, I don't pay any attention to the teacher until he starts mentioning Olivia
"Does anybody know something about Olivia?", he asks with furrowed eyebrows.
Lisa then raises her hand and answers
"She's really sick and couldn't attend school for a few days."

Ah, so that's the reason why I couldn't see her for days. Little princess is lurgy.

"Oh, I hope she gets well soon. Can someone bring her the sheets I gave you just now? They are important and relevant for the upcoming test next week."
Lisa is about to raise her hand again but I'm beat her as I blurt out
"I can bring them to her. We live in the same neighborhood anyway"
Lisa looks at me with narrowed eyes, obviously mad at me because I preempted her meanwhile the teacher gives me a surprised look.
I can't blame him because it's the first time I paid attention to any of his questions.
He nods quickly, giving me the extra sheets. I put them in my back, ignoring everyone's looks and whispers.
I don't know why they're reacting so surprised all the time, I mean at this point everyone should have noticed that Olivia and I are close, so why the overreaction?

As soon as the class ends, I go out and dial Olivia's number to ask if she needs anything but she doesn't pick up.
Nevertheless, I decide to stop by a pharmacy to buy some medicine and vitamins. Since she's already physically weak in her healthy state, I assume she's even weaker now.
Really, she should take more care of her body.

Finally, I arrive at her house and stand in front of her door. For some uncertain reason I hesitate to knock, a tiny nervousness spreading inside of me as I wonder if her parents would be at home.
Normally, I wouldn't act this way.
My behavior was always intuitive, not caring about the consequences. But right now, I don't know why I'm feeling this way.
I mean, I'm not doing anything wrong, just handing her important sheets as a good classmate.
How ironic.
Never in a million years I would've thought to bring someone's school stuff to their house.

I pull myself together and knock on her door twice,  waiting patiently for someone to open it.
After a few seconds, I knock again but no response. When seconds become minutes, I'm getting impatient and worried, knocking on the door harder than before.
There's some noise behind the other side of the door before the door opens and I come face to face to a weak and pale Olivia. She's covered in an oversized pullover with the hood over her head, thick socks on her feet and dark circles under her eyes, not radiating their usual spark.
When she recognizes me, she tenses up a bit before but her tiredness outweighs and she just keeps on staring at me without anything. She doesn't have the same shocked expression she would normally give me every time I meet her unannounced.

"What are you doing here?" , she asks in a faint whisper weakly, her voice sounding really dry.
I start feeling uneasier than before. Seeing her like this makes me kind of concerned and I look behind her to see if anyone is there to take care of her.
"Are you alone? Aren't your parents at home?" , I ask worried.
"Uhm..no, they're working."
I notice that she's getting tired just from standing for so long, as she starts shifting from one leg to the other, so I decide to make it quick.
