I watched through the glass window as Thomas was talking to some security guards outside my door. I was in the hospital due to a car accident, and it was all his fault. God, how I hated him.
"Please, you have to let me see her!" He begged to the man, desperation leaking into his voice. I leaned back against the soft white pillow of my bed and stared at the roof, letting out a deep breath.
"He was drunk, Y/N," my friend, Alyssa, told me as she sat beside me. "I don't care," I argued. "I'll never forgive him." She remained quiet and simply watched me as I fiddled with the bandage wrapped around my left arm. Luckily I wasn't in horrible condition but some part inside me wished that I hadn't survived the crash. My head began to ache as the event kept replaying in my head..Flashback:
I was heading over to my house. Thomas was holding a bachelor's party but I needed to grab an extra jacket. The night was humid and wet. Thomas and I were engaged, so I knew better than to ruin his party. I sneaked into the house without catching anyone's attention and ran upstairs to our room where I caught Thomas making out with another woman. He held a bottle of alcohol in one hand and the other trailed down the woman's body. They kissed with passion.
"Thomas...?" I choked, my eyes tearing up. He quickly turns around in surprise and his eyes widen in horror as he sees me. Without waiting for a reply I quickly ran out the house.
"Y/N, wait!" Thomas yelled as he tried to chase after me. I threw on my helmet and got on my motorcycle, riding away past 50mph. The tears clogged up in my eyes and I had been sobbing when I lost control of the bike and crashed with another motorcycle.•••
I exhaled deeply and stared at the engagement ring set on the nightstand beside me.
