--------------------------------------------------

Marianna screamed as she fell about six feet. "Ow!" She cried out as she hit the concrete and stumbled onto her butt.

She looked around. Mari was in a dark, small, concrete room. She mentally cursed herself for being so stupid. How could she think she could figure out a four digit code with nothing but a flashlight? I watch too much Sherlock. She decided.

Marianna walked towards a wall and felt along it. It was cold, smooth, concrete with a few cracks along it. She finally found a trap door sort of thing on the ground by the corner. "This place goes farther down?" She mumbled to herself in astonishment. Maybe she'd fallen halfway to Hell... Marianna listened carefully as she opened the trapdoor. There weren't any alarms going off... Maybe no one knew she was here. Marianna climbed carefully down the ladder beneath the trap door. The ladder seemed to go down a long way. She wished she still had her phone for a flashlight.

Finally she found herself at the bottom of the ladder. More concrete. Mari stepped off the ladder and looked around. Her eyes had pretty much adjusted to the lack of light. She could just make out that she was in some sort of hallway. Marianna walked down the hallway. At first she thought it was her imagination but the halls seemed to close in on Mari as she went. They seemed to get smaller. As she continued down them she realized they really were getting smaller. She eventually had to crouch down and then had to climb on her hands and knees. The hall seemed to have no end and Mari feared that she was going to get stuck. Marianna was just about to turn back when she heard a familiar buzzing sound.

The sonic screwdriver. The doctor must've gotten in here! She smiled to herself. It was just at the end of the hallway. Mari could make it, couldn't she? Suddenly she wasn't in the hallway anymore.

"What the heck?" Mari commented to herself. She was now standing in a circular room containing a doorway without a door. How'd she get here?

"Doctor?!" Marianna called, hopefully, "Doctor!"

Marianna ran out the doorway. She was in another hall. What the heck was going on? She turned around and the doorway was gone. Marianna was freaked out, to say the least.

"Doctor!" She cried again running down the hallway. It seemed to have no end. "DOCTOR!"
Marianna shouted, her heart beating fast.

//Doctor//

The Doctor heard a scream. Marianna. He ran towards where he had heard the scream. It was behind these large dividers in the cafeteria. "Marianna?!" The Doctor called.

No reply.

She was gone. The Doctor walked over to this doorway which had a blinking red light.

The lunch lady whom The Doctor had previously been interviewing with had followed him over. "Where is she?" He demanded.

"Who?" She asked, giving an innocent look.

"The girl, the child I was working with, where's she gone?!"

"I don't know what you're talking about..."

The Doctor walked over to the door and found a cellphone that had to have belonged to Mari lying on the floor.

"Where does this door lead?" The Doctor asked the lunch lady.

"I don't know, to some food storage vault I think." She replied.

He tried the doorknob.

"You won't be wanting the get in there." She told me, "Nothing of interest in there."

"Do me a favor?" The Doctor asked, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Hmm?"

"Shut up." He ordered.

She 'hmph-ed' and walked off.

The Doctor turned back towards the door. He pulled out my sonic and sonic-ed the door. It was triple-deadlock-sealed. He couldn't sonic it open. He sighed in exasperation and ran his hand through his messy hair. He looked down at Mari's phone. She had notes open. It read;

Combinations?

4769 or 4796

He looked back up at the keypad. He sonic-scanned it again. The combination was obviously 4796.

The Doctor punched it in and stood back in case of booby-traps. The door slowly opened. The combination was correct. It opened into a bright, white, lit staircase. He began his decent down. He looked back up to see the door had closed behind him.

The Doctor continued down the stairs until they opened into a large room. Inside this room he saw a large amount silence. He couldn't forget them, because they were everywhere. Everywhere he looked he saw another one. The Doctor looked down at Marianna's phone. He accessed her camera phone and began to video, in case he forgot this later.

The silence didn't seem to want to hurt him. They went about their own business. A woman with brown, curly, hair, and a silver eye-patch thing came up to him.

"Hello Doctor." She greeted.

"How...how do you know who I am?" The Doctor asked.

"Simple." She told me, "Because Marianna Black knows who you are." She motioned behind her, and a door slid open in the white wall.

There was a board, floating in mid-air. Marianna lie upright on the board, her limbs fastened to it. Her eyes were closed.

"And we know everything she knows." The lady continued.

"What are you doing to her?!" The Doctor asked.

"Nothing, Doctor. We don't exist." She spoke, she put her lips near my ear and whispered, "Now you've seen the truth."

The Doctor closed his eyes.

When he opened his eyes he was laying in the field behind Marianna's school. He sat up and looked to his right to see Marianna groggily sitting up as well.

"Doctor..." She asked, "What just happened?"

"I have no idea." The Doctor replied.
