Chapter 4

The next morning Rosie woke up to the sound of giggling and opened her eyes to see Natalie and Agnes standing at the end of her bed. "Happy Birthday" they shouted simultaneously making Rosie jump and the other girls in her dorm mumble and groan. Firstly Rosie was handed a present from Agnes which was wrapped in purple wrapping paper with a silver ribbon. When she got through the paper Rosie saw a silver necklace with a small Pegasus pendant that had a blue jewel for an eye. Rosie squealed with glee and pulled Agnes into a tight hug "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She said as Agnes placed the charm around her neck. Rosie looked at it and smiled to herself. "Okay my turn!" Yelled Natalie earning more annoyed mumbles from the other side of the room which were ignored. Natalie handed her a dark blue present with a black ribbon and when Rosie opened it she saw a book called hair styling spells for a busy witch/wizard by L.Waplington. This made Rosie laugh as he thanked her friend before testing the 'loose curls' spell (which thankfully worked well the forth time), getting ready and then heading to the great hall for breakfast.

Whilst entering the hall Rosie couldn't help but scan the Slytherin table in the hope of seeing Draco who was already looking and smiling at her in order to avoid suspicion Rosie gave a quick smile and walked down to join the Ravenclaw's.

While she ate Rosie received multiple Happy Birthdays from her friends and sometimes people she barely knew! After finishing her breakfast Rosie was called over by Ginny who was stood by the oak doors. Ginny gave her a hug and a present wrapped in silver paper. Ginny told her that it was from her and her parents. Rosie remembered meeting Mr and Mrs Weasley last year at the burrow they were both so lovely and kind to her that she felt as though she was one of their children! Rosie ripped off the wrapping paper to reveal a navy jumper with a silver R in the middle. The handmade jumper melted Rosie's heart and she hugged Ginny tightly.

Just after she exited the hall she heard some one call her name. She snapped her head to the right to see Hermione, Ron and Harry heading her way all three holding little boxes around the same size with little ribbons tied around them.

Hermione gave me her box first which was slightly bigger than the other twos. Inside the box was a silver charm bracelet with a small clear dolphin charm on it. Inside of Ron's box were two charms one of which was a silver broom representing her love of quiditch even though she isn't a good flyer so if she tried to play herself it would probably end up in the hospital wing. The second charm was a blue R which Ron said could stand for either himself or Rosie causing her to chuckle. Finally Harry gave her a red gift with a gold ribbon inside was an eagle charm and a pair of swallow earrings with two sapphires in them "Harry" she breathed "their beautiful" he blushed but before he could reply he along with Ron and Hermione were being pulled into a crushing hug.

After that the three left for breakfast and Rosie was about to head back to her dorm when a girly giggle stopped her "Draco" a girls voice squeaked. Confused Rosie turned to see Abigail Sanderson a blonde Slytherin girl all over Draco who didn't seem to be resisting but as he made eye contact with Rosie he tried to pull away as she glared at him.

"Wait!" Rosie heard him shout but she ignored him.

Anger built up inside of her as she stormed off to her room. Once she got there she calmed herself down there was no way she was going to let some guy ruin her birthday she was too strong to fall to piece over him and that bitch Sanderson!

After her little pep-talk she headed down to defence against the dark arts with Umbridge and took her seat next to Harry and Malfoy. Great. Once she sat Malfoy whispered something only she could her "meet me after lunch at the edge of the forbidden forest".
"Why?" She replied.
"Just do it ... please." he said slightly frustrated.
"Fine." She replied cooly.

The rest of the lesson went by uneventfully and all Umbridge had the class do was copy from a textbook teaching them nothing at all.

Another two lessons went by and Rosie was half asleep by the time lunch finally came. Whilst eating Rosie completely forgot about meeting Draco until she noticed his absence at the Slytherin table and remembered.

She hastily finished her food and rushed over to the forbidden forest giving Natalie and Agnes and excuse about forgetting her Herbology report.

Once the forbidden forest was in her view she noticed white blonde hair and a pale walking towards her.

The expression on his face was a mixture of joy at seeing her and nerves at the conversation that would follow.

Rosie started the conversation and got straight to the point "So are you and Sanderson in a relationship now or what?". Draco looked confused and replied instantly "No! Ofcourse not!"
"That's not how she seems to feel" Rosie said slightly louder. "That was nothing she's just desperate. You know how she can be you've surely seen it!"
Rosie couldn't argue with that Abigail was known around Hogwarts for being the school slut and she went after every one especially Slytherins. "You didn't seem to be fighting" Rosie scoffed. "I know but I didn't think much of it I mean it's not like we're together or anything!" Draco said instantly regretting it. "Oh I see I'm just another one of your little projects am I!" Rosie yelled. "No" Draco started "please you have to see that your different from all of the others. Your kind and beautiful and I can't get you out of my head" Rosie looked up at him as he frowned and ran his hand through his hair Rosie grabbed his arm and pulled him into a kiss.

Draco was slightly shocked but then slid his hands round her waist pulling her closer to him as Rosie wrapped one arm around his neck and the other was tangled in his hair.

As they broke away Draco was slightly breathless and couldn't stop a wide grin spread on his face. "Happy birthday" he whispered into her ear. She smiled and he smiled to. He then handed her a small black box inside of which was a piece of parchment with a spell scrawled on it in messy writing.

Rosie looked up at him confused. He smirked down at her "go on then! Try it!" He said clearly excited.

As she cast the spell what seemed like a hundred wild flowers floated around the pair before shooting upwards and then spiralling down to the floor beautifully. Rosie's gasped at the beautiful display and when she lifted the parchment from the box she saw a ring (not an engagement ring!) with a small wildflower on it she put it on and pulled Draco into another loving kiss next to the forest and surrounded by wildflowers.
