Stone cold

Part 10

The next day Rosie awoke to the sound of Natalie's muggle music playing extremely loudly, "Shut up!" Agnes cried putting on her glasses that lay on her bedside table. In response Natalie sang the chorus as loudly as possibly causing everyone in the dorm to groan in annoyance.

Once ready Rosie was ready she left her friends and went to the great hall for breakfast. Quickly, she turned a sharp corner and hit something hard causing her to fall on the floor. A streak of platinum blonde hair was the first thing Rosie saw, and then the boy was helping her up so she was almost level with his ice blue eyes which were etched with concern and then despair as he tried to walk past.

Rosie noticed how different he looked. His brilliant eyes were tired and darker somehow and his skin even paler. She turned to see him but realised he was already looking at her from a few feet
away.

She expected his to turn but he didn't and they stared for a bit in silence, "are you ok?" Rosie blurted out subconsciously and soon regretting it. Draco looked at her for a minute before answering, "No. Not really.".
"Why? What's happening? Please talk to me!" Rosie replied immediately. Malfoy looked up from the floor and as soon as he caught her gaze something came over him he forgot all his problems and lost himself in her deep brown eyes. He just wanted to be with her, and in that moment he knew he had to be.

Draco strode forward and wrapped his arms around Rosie's waist as she slid her hands around his neck. He kissed her passionately and tangled one of his strong hands in her long brown waves as Rosie slid her hand to his waist. He then moved his lips down to her neck an kissed her softly moving aside her school shirt as he nipped her neck slightly causing Rosie's knees to buckle. Luckily Draco's arms were still tightly wrapped around her or Rosie was sure she would fall to the ground. His lips then returned to hers as if they had never left as he pushed into her and still managed to pull her closer. The two broke away their foreheads still touching, neither of them letting go of the other.

A sudden shrill sound broke them from their trance and as soon as he heard it Draco almost ran to his lesson leaving Rosie behind in shock. The question she had wanted to ask still stuck in her mind as she stared at his back whilst he walked away.

Lessons passed in a blur with Rosie still in a daze. She had searched the Slytherin table at lunch and dinner but didn't see him. A pit of fear and worry grew in her stomach as she walked back to the Ravenclaw common room with Natalie. The two girls sat on the bed working on some muggle studies research when Agnes burst through the door a huge grin plastered on her face, "bow down to the new captain of the quiditch team bitches!" She screamed earning a round of applause from Natalie and Rosie. "What happened to Tom?" Rosie asked. Tom Hardy was the Ravenclaw captain who played as a keeper and was also one of the only guys Natalie had ever had a crush on in Hogwarts. Natalie's cheeks flushed a light shade of pink at the mention of Tom's name making Agnes giggle so Natalie threw a pillow at her hitting her square in the face, causing Rosie to erupt in laughter. "Anyway-" Agnes continued, "he was getting Ts in Divination and Charms so he can't play until he gets his grades up". A look of pure joy flashed in Natalie's face, "Oh my god I'm great at Charms I can tutor him" she squealed shortly before running for the door.

It was around 7:30 when Rosie remembered she had left her quill in her potions class. She mentally kicked herself and headed down to the potions room. After finally finding her quill Rosie stuffed it in her bag and headed for the door only to be greeted by the stone cold eyes of Draco Malfoy.

He looked at her for a moment and carried on down the hallway. "Hey-" Rosie practically screamed as she felt rage building up inside of her "-you cannot walk away! How dare you tell me you don't want to see me, then not answer my questions, then kiss me and ignore me again! What's wrong with you!"

He turned to look at her as she walked over to him and placed one warm hand on his shoulder and push him against the wall. 'Damn she is a lot stronger then she looks!' he thought slightly taken back at the force. "What is going on?" Rosie almost pleaded. The saddened look on her face broke Draco's heart and he pulled her into the empty potions room.

Once they were inside Draco explained everything he had been told in death eater meetings. When he finished Rosie was stood and her eyes wide as her hands covered her mouth. He stepped towards her and held one of her hands. "Please don't hate me. You have to see that I didn't want this to happen." Draco said attempting to comfort the clearly shocked girl in front of him.

Slowly Rosie calmed herself and squeezed Draco's hand "I could never hate you." She said softly "I love you.".
A smile crept onto Draco's face for the first time in a while. "I love you more." he said picking her up into his arms and kissing her with a smile still stuck to his lips.
