"Do you know any Professor Sola Elisha?" Peace asked as they were now back to the living room to continue their talks.
"That's my first boss, the man that practically made me the hardworking man that I am. He couldn't make it to the wedding and sent his apologies. What happened?" Ayotunde described and concluded.
"Well, he sent a sum of 300k as wedding gift, it was the last alert that I saw that made everything 800k" Peace explained.
"Oh wow! I will reach out to him tomorrow then to thank him. My colleagues are also cooking something and I am sure it will manifest very soon" Ayotunde said.
"So, now that it seems we are getting settled, what do we do with our cash gifts?" Peace asked.
"And you are asking me" Ayotunde responded.
"You are the man of the house and it is whatever your lordship wants that must be done"
"Noooo, we are a team, it is whatever we agree on that must be done. I will suggest we come back from our honeymoon first though, let the cash gifts remain intact, speaking of which, I confirmed our booking at Obudu Mountain Resort already and we are expected this weekend." Ayotunde countered.
They continued their husband and wife discussions and numerous gist until it was late and Peace fell asleep right there on the couch with her head gently placed on Ayotunde's leg. The position she decided to switch to after much talk.
Gently, Ayotunde lifted her up and carried her into the room to place her properly on their matrimonial bed that seem to have witnessed more lovemaking than the bed used by a porn industry in just few days into their marriage. Carefully Ayotunde lifted himself up having laid Peace on the bed but was surprised Peace dragged in down into the bed with her.
"Come and sleep Babe" Peace pleaded opening her eyes.
"I will join you very soon, I just need to complete some tasks first. I Love You" Ayotunde said, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead and patting her softly on the side before leaving the room for the living room again.
Immediately he got into the living room, he did not delay in further confirming their booking at Obudu Mountain Resort for the weekend and the next two weeks. He made the necessary payment and reached out to the driver he has booked earlier to drive them down to where they will be enjoying their honeymoon for the next two weeks. Peace had insisted on not travelling by air but by road all the way down to Cross Rivers. Her reason is that she wants to enjoy the atmosphere and get to know more of Nigeria. The power of women is never to be underestimated. Ayotunde had lost the arguments and succumb in the long run.
It will take them almost fifteen hours on the road to get to their destination but Peace do not mind. She was in for all the adventures awaiting them on the road. Ayotunde completed all of the tasks he had mapped out in his mind before heading to the room to join his wife on the bed.
