"David!!!!!" Peace exclaimed before rushing to hug the stranger really tight, leaving Ayotunde on the spot. The hug went on for a couple of seconds, and when they eventually broke away from the hug, David's hands rested on the waist of Peace.

"It is really nice seeing you again, David. What are you doing here?" Peace inquired before they finally broke away from each other's embrace.

"I must say you smell nice, just like in the past," David complimented her. They continued their exchange of pleasantries while Ayotunde stood watching the drama unfold in his presence.

"Wait, is that..." David tried to cut their pleasantries, pointing towards Ayotunde.

"Oh yeah! That is Ayotunde! Ayotunde, meet David, my classmate from my undergraduate days," Peace said.

"One that stole your heart but you never gave a chance," David sarcastically chipped in.

"Hi, David, I am Ayotunde, her husband." Ayotunde said in the best manner of composure he could, but evidently over him was the fact that he was angry, and Peace recognised that immediately.

"Oh, sorry, my bad! Peace, you did not mention that you are married, and none of your social media pages has the information. I still checked your profile some days ago." David expressed himself, but at this point, the atmosphere was already tensed, and Peace could feel the anger in Ayotunde boiling. David has refused to get the message immediately and just continued with his own talks.

"Uhm, you know what? Here, please put your number; perhaps we can catch up, I need to go now," David said, handing over his phone to Peace, who collected the phone and put her number without hesitation. David was gone, and Peace remained speechless, not knowing exactly what to say to his already angry husband.

It was noon, and they were done with the early activities of the day. Peace and Ayotunde went through all of the activities together without saying a single word to each other. Everyone eventually parted ways. Peace and Ayotunde were back in their apartment.

"Babe" Peace tried calling out to Ayotunde.

"I am sorry," She quickly added.

"Sorry for what exactly?" Ayotunde replied eventually.

"For everything"

"What thing?" Ayotunde asked again.

"You know what I am talking about already, Ayotunde. Don't make this harder than it is already." Peace pleaded further.

"Really? Let me guess, you are shy of us on your social media platforms and you are suddenly shy of us physically in the presence of a male friend or, let me say, a former crush who... "

"Ife Mi!"
