"Ayotunde, please don't hang up the call; it is Janet and I need..." Ayotunde did not allow her to land before ending the call on her.
"Oh! Now, you don't want me to know what she has to say again?" Peace quickly added while she put on her nightgown.
"Ife Mi, what exactly do you want me to do?" Ayotunde asked with a frustrated tone. The exchange of words continued until Ayotunde stopped talking and eventually walked out of the room to stay outside.
"Did you just walk out on me, Ayotunde?" Peace angrily asked but got no response from Ayotunde, who by now was sitting on the staircase to their mini wooden apartment, confused and lost. His phone rang again, displaying the same number, but this time he did not bother to pick it up; rather, he put his phone in silence and dropped it just beside him. On another thought, he picked up his phone and blocked yet another number his ex has been hunting him with.
Peace became more impatient on the bed. She cannot sleep, and she cannot concentrate. The part of her that cared was wondering how her man would survive the cold of the night and the mosquitoes. But the angry part of her remained headstrong and decided to just stay there, hoping that he would come back inside at the earliest possible time. Eventually, she stood up to go check up on him through the window. She was surprised to find him comfortably seated on the wooded floor and staring at the stars alone. It was not long after when a lady walked by in her bum-short. Immediately, Peace recognised her to be the same lady she had had to go rescue her man from.
"What are you doing outside at this time?" Angela asked Ayotunde, who was lost in thought.
"Hey! Hi!" Ayotunde responded by coming out of his deep thoughts about his woman's sudden drama. By the window was Peace, looking at what was about to happen.
"Well..."
"Do you care for a night walk? I suppose you are outside because you are bored," Angela offered.
"Uhm...not really actually was just..."
"Baby, I have been looking for you." Peace's voice came from behind before Ayotunde could complete his statement.
"You did not tell me you would be coming outside to sit down," Peace quickly added before settling down beside him on the short stairs.
"Hi, good evening; I was just..." Angela tried to explain herself.
"It is fine; I am his wife, and we are here on our honeymoon. If you don't mind, please don't let me see you anywhere near my man again. He is married to me, and I am his wife," Peace stated emphatically to Ayotunde's utmost surprise. He remained dumfounded and was just wondering what kind of woman he was married to.
"My love, don't you think we should go inside now? I need you inside now, please." Peace spoke sensually before attempting to lift him up. Angela said no other words as she walked away with mixed feelings.
Ayotunde stood up speechless and followed his wife inside, unsure of what exactly to feel. The moment they got inside and the door was closed, Peace pinned him to the wall and planted a very passionate kiss on his lips.
"I love you," Peace managed to say when they got their first chance to breathe.
"But..."
"No buts, make love to me please" Peace interrupted him before they both found themselves on the bed. Ayotunde was initially confused but had to play along as his wife seemed to have gone high on something he cannot explain at the moment.
