"Just look at him," Olayinka said, pointing Peace's direction to where her husband was hanging out with the other men.
"He looks happy to me," Peace said to her as they both shifted their attentions to the men's circle. The women were also supposed to be together according to Mr Obioma Augustine's plan for the second day of their hangouts and tours. But since Mr. Obioma has been nowhere to be found since the inception of the dark, everyone has decided to find their way around the large compound. The men were busy discussing football and politics, pending the time they will all go to retire with their wives in their respective apartments. The women also tried to come together, but it was not long after they all scattered and picked themselves up two-by-two and three-by-three. That was when Olayinka quickly dragged Peace to where they are presently seated to open up to her fully.
"He is not. We were practically crying together the other night when you guys were quite audible and giggling at the same time. Please, I am willing to learn. I don't want to lose my man because of ordinary sex. He loves me, and I know it, but we have been unable to have sex on the day of our wedding. Our purpose in coming here is to explore what change of environment will be like but even that" Olayinka took a pause.
"Have you ever had sex with any other person before?" Peace asked.
"No, he is my first of everything." Olayinka responded.
"See, please, ask any question you will love to ask as long as it will help; we are both women, and I don't think I at this point have any reasons to be shy with anything. I am desperate at this point," Olayinka expressed her mind, looking very frustrated.
"Uhm, what do you feel exactly whenever you guys are about to..."
"Pain and pain. A very agonising one. Initially, we thought it was because I was a virgin but it is no longer looking like it." Olayinka took a pause before breaking down into tears again.
"I just don't want to lose him because of..."
"It is okay. Thank you for confiding in me. I think I have heard of something similar to this before. Do you mind if we go inside together? I need to quickly pick something up," Peace requested.
"Please, anything you want me to do, I am willing to do. Whatever it may be." Olayinka quickly responded, wiping her tears.
"My husband knows much about all of these. That is his area of expertise. I will give him more detailed information about your issue, and we can take it from there, but before then, let me also exercise some of the little things I know. How do you feel exactly anytime there is an attempt at penetration?" Peace explained and ended with a question expected to generate an answer that would make things clearer as they walked towards their apartment. They were on their way when they saw Mr Obioma Bernard coming out of a small building that looked like a BQ adjusting his belt with Miss Favour, another single lady on the tour aside from Angela following him from behind. No seer is needed to explain what was going on. Definitely, the tour guide that was assumed to have vanished did not actually vanish; rather, he went to exercise his authority over an open territory. Peace and Olayinka could not pay so much attention as they were not in the mood for the gist.
"It is like my vaginal muscles tighten up on their own whenever he tries to come in, and it causes a lot of pain for me. At some point, I wanted to just endure the pain and just allow him do it but it was agonising that I needed to push him away, since then..." Olayinka explained, and Peace just concluded that Ayotunde's first guess when he was told turned out to be right. Olayinka is suffering from vaginismus.
