Hangovers are the price I pay. Each skull-splitting excursion as a personal reminder of what happens when you consume too much poison. ~ N.B

Last night or rather in the early hours of the morning, Ares messaged me about Sana and June going to a frat party and how it ended with Ares picking them up from the police station.

Normally most people would be sleeping at the hour he texted but I couldn't sleep.

Rarely I'd get a full night's rest.

It's 8:30 am.

Ares promised to check on the girls later on in the day but had an assignment to do so I offered to check on them since I didn't have anything to do for the day.

I made hangover soup to take with me on my way over. I know waking up from all the contents in your system does to your body.

been there, done that, not happening again.

I wonder if June's feeling hungover too?

Though she doesn't look like the type to consume anything with alcohol. She looks like the type to get attached to fictional characters.

Unknowingly I smile at the thought of June. What is wrong with me? We hardly ever interacted with each other. Only through paper that one time in the café.

I take the subway not in the mood for driving. Since the accident I hardly drive anymore. My dad bought me a new car while I was still recovering.

Upgrade from my Dodge Charger to a sleek dark grey Dodge Challenger. 99% of the time it sits in the garage collecting dust unless my parents, specifically Dad takes it out for the day. Mostly to work and back.

I walk out of the busy underground station making the short walk to the University.

'Beep beep beep' I listen to the beeping sound of Sana's 7:40 alarm. It's loud enough for me to hear through the thin walls that separate my room from hers.

The alarm's been going off for 5 minutes, 40 seconds from turning to 6 minutes.

How do I know this you may ask. The answer is simple, I counted.

8:10 am

I lost count counting down how many minutes passed while the alarm had been going off so I quietly entered Sana's room shutting it off.

Surprisingly she never stirred or woke up. Guess all the partying had her out cold. Then again she rarely wakes up to her alarms.

8:20am

I laid upside down on the couch tuning out the background noise from the T.V

I think Gravity Falls was playing on Disney Channel. I didn't have any class until 4 pm this afternoon.

I didn't even eat breakfast. Guess I have no desire for food right now.

I think back to yesterday's events. If papa ever found out I'll be a goner. Papa can be a total different human when he's mad. I dont want to be on the receiving end of it now or ever.

8:48am

'Knock knock knock'

"Just a minute" I called.
