I watched June enter the vintage building into her class.
What I wanted to ask was if she'll go on a date with me but I chickened out and asked for her number instead. I mean I could have gotten it from Ares but then he'll be annoying about it and I dunno if she'd want me to have her number.
Ughh
I spend some time in my studio painting before I pack up and head home.
All afternoon June has been occupying my mind. I keep playing over our time together playing Ludo and walking her to class. She's like a human ball of sunshine.
I throw the baseball against the blue-ish grey painted walls of my fairly sized bedroom.
The ball bounces back into my hand and I throw it again. I missed it and it hit my window thankfully not cracking the glass. The ball rolls somewhere in the room but I couldn't be bothered to find it.
It'll show itself whenever I clean my room again. Or when I randomly find it looking for something else. That always happens
My room isn't really messy, just a few drawings scattered across my desk and slightly creased bed sheets. Other than that it's mostly neat.
Looking over at my bedside alarm it's 5:10 pm
Maybe I'll text June.
I open contacts looking for her name. When I find it I smile. She saved herself as 'June bug' with a heart emoji at the end.
"Cute."

Seconds later she replies
JUNE BUG 💗: Hii Ren. Sup bro
I laugh at her typing style. She really is spontaneous at times.
Me: nothing's up bro. I've got a question. Go on a date with me on Saturday around 10-ish a.m.?
The typing bubble appears then she goes offline. God I hope I didn't scare her off coming on too strong. What was I even thinking? She barely knows me and I ask her out on our second encounter.
I'm really impulsive and an idiot at times. I was about to delete my message then my phone vibrated.
JUNE BUG 💗: What should I wear?
Me: Anything
JUNE BUG 💗: So what if I chose to dress up as Harley Quinn for our date🤔🤔🤔
Me: well then it'll just make it more interesting
JUNE BUG 💗: Sooo are you going to tell me where we're going for our date on Saturday or do I guess?
Me: Nope I'd like to remain aloof. My lips are sealed 🤐
