"We did it " ~ Sana Li
"Ugh JUNE ADALINE DAWSON YOU MUST MAKE HASTE!." Sana yells my full government name at the top of her lungs from the bottom of the staircase of her parents' two story vacation house.
'We' Sana, Ares, Ren and myself were staying here for the weekend to unwind and spend time before we officially fall into the world of adulthood aka life's biggest scam.
I fixed my hair and re-curl my lashes for the 10th time this morning, grabbing my purse and slipping on my ring. I watch it glimmer in the light, It's one of few accessories I keep close to my heart.
Ares was waiting down stairs with his sister checking his watch before stretching an over exaggeration of a yawn earning a smack from his sister. I carefully make my way down the last step careful not to trip in my heels "Guys" I called gaining their attention "It's too early for arguments"
They look at each other like little kids being scolded by an adult nodding at my words. "You look gorgeous bae" My best friend compliments. She was wearing white high waisted office pants with a matching buttoned short sleeve white top paired with white heels with small crystal butterflies on them. Her hair was curled just like mine with soft makeup. I was dressed in a retro style sage coloured palace maxi dress paired with light nude ankle strap heels.
"You both look beautiful"
''Thanks'' Sana and I say in sync
Ares was our chaperone to graduation and designated driver. I sat in the back giving Sana shotgun. "Are you ladies excited?"
"Kinda" I replied
"I'm just glad I don't have to spent another semester here or see that gremlin's face again"
"Who are you talking about?"
"Conner, Conner Blake the guy who intervened the football douche who tried to put hands on our June bug"
"Oh"
Sana went on a whole 1 minute rant about him getting interrupted by the ping of her phone every few seconds. I peer over her shoulder glancing at her screen.
'Conner🙄'
'oooooh' I thought, staring at the contact. "I thought you disliked him?" I state smugly. Ares only raises an eyebrow at my statement.
My best friend looks at me in shock "Oh, would you look at that, my beloved university we're here already" She says shutting off her phone. She quite literally jumped out the car as soon as Ares found a parking spot, rushing inside.
He chuckles at his younger sister's behaviour "I'd like to meet this Conner Blake. I'd never thought I'd see the day my baby sis got a crush. Did you see her face? Can't miss an opportunity to embarrass her and meet this dude"
I could feel excitement rolling off him. We link arms following the direction Sana went off to. I sent my love a quick text letting him know I've reached safely.
He sends me a picture of him throwing peace sign while sitting in one of the rows with a text
'Hurry up I wanna see you' I replied scouting for my 5' 10 brown haired boyfriend. Well try to, but atleast I found him eventually.
Ok more like he found me first wrapping me into a hug from behind.
And I loved every second of it.
