"Rachel. Wake up." Rachel slowly opened her eyes. She was fast asleep when she woke up because of someone whispering next to her. She looked next to her bed; it was Finnigan. He was glowing more than ever in her pitch-black room.

"Fin, what are you doing here?" She rubbed her eyes. It took her a while to fall asleep. This wasn't a light decision, so she was relieved when she finally drifted off into dreamland. "How do you know that I have decided?"

"I told you I would know. Now, hurry and get out of bed. You're coming with me."

Rachel looked at her watch. "To where? It's 11 pm. I can't. I'm super tired, and I have school tomorrow."

"Don't worry about that. I promise you won't be tired when we get there. Now get up."

Rachel followed his orders. She didn't have another choice. Finnigan waved for her to follow him into the closet. "Where are we going? Can I at least put on some different clothes?" Rachel asked as she pointed to her pyjamas. Clothes were something that Rachel was very peculiar about. She loved playing dress-up and always tried to look her best.

"I'm taking you to the world of imagination. And don't worry about clothes; we'll sort that out when we get there."

She was hesitant about all of this. Following a talking cat somewhere you have never heard of didn't sound like the brightest idea. "Are you sure this is safe?"

Finnigan nodded. "Of course it is. Don't look so worried."

The portal was at the top of her closet. Rachel got a chair and kicked away all the boxes she still hadn't picked up. She climbed onto the top shelf. For Finnigan, it was easy to get there; he could fly up. Rachel struggled to climb onto the top shelf. There wasn't much space to move around, and she was tall.

The portal looked like a big hole filled with purple glitter whirling around. You couldn't see what was on the other side, which made Rachel nervous. She touched the portal to see if it was real. Her hand went through it; she pulled it back out again and looked closely at it. She expected it to look different, but it looked the same. "Are you ready?" Finnigan asked. She wanted to tell him she wasn't ready for any of this, but she had to be brave, so she nodded. "Let's go!" Finnigan yelled as he jumped into the portal.

Now, it was Rachel's turn. Her stomach filled with many butterflies that wouldn't stop flying around. The more she thought about this, the more she realised this was a horrible idea. But there was no turning back now. She counted to three, and on three, she jumped.
