After what felt like another 10km of walking, they finally made it to the giant factory. It was on the opposite side of Techtopia than their headquarters.
This building was even larger than the headquarters. They looked like each other, but this one was a giant cube. The windows looked like mirrors. There were no plants, colours, or anything interesting about this building. It was the same as all the other ones. This was really starting to frustrate Rachel.
"I think I should run for the president in this world. It would look much better than it does now," Rachel said.
Mira and Glimmerwisp ignored her. They were standing behind another sign, looking for any robots guarding the entrance. There was only one guard. He was walking up and down in front of the door.
"There's a guard, this isn't good. We'll have to find a way to get past him." Mira said. They were silent for a while, trying to figure out how to get inside without him spotting them.
"I think I have an idea. I'll go first, and you'll stay here. I'll make sure there are no over bots nearby, then I'll tell him some sort of lie about why he needs to let me in, and when he goes to check my ID, I'll push his power-off button. Once inside, it will be a little easier, but only for the first while. You two must stay here, and I'll tell you if I need help." Mira said.
Everyone nodded. The plan sounded straightforward. Mira waited a few more seconds before she went to the door. The bot didn't suspect a thing. He greeted her like she was one of them. She then told him that she needed to deliver something from the headquarters. Luckily, he believed her. She showed him her fake ID and waited until the time was right, and he didn't suspect anything. She reached behind her head as fast as possible and pushed the power off button. He instantly shut down and fell to the floor. She felt a huge sense of relief. She waved to Rachel and Glimmerwisp two to follow her.
Mira opened the door just enough to see what was happening inside, which wasn't good. The whole place was swarming with bots.
Rachel and Glimmerwisp went and stood behind Mira.
"Oh no," Rachel said in disbelief.
Mira turned to face them. "This is bad, but it's not impossible to get in. Unless I tell you otherwise, you guys must stay close to me. Luckily, all of the bots are really busy. They won't notice us so easily. Do you see that door on the right?" Rachel looked inside and saw two big doors covered with a stripe of black and yellow tape. She nodded. "We have to get over there. Here are lots of stuff that you can hide behind. Just remember to not make a sound. If they hear us, we're done."
They entered the building and stayed as close to the wall as possible. There was a reception desk where the robots had to report for duty, but they made sure to stay as far away from it as possible. They tried not to move too quickly but also not too slowly. They made sure not to bump into any robots. Mira would stop and act like she was busy if they saw a bot approaching them. Rachel and Glimmerwisp two looked for somewhere to hide.
Finally, they made it to the door. "How do we get in if it's locked?" Rachel asked. Mira didn't answer her. She just smiled and stood in front of the door.
"You have to be quick; once these doors open, there will be a good chance that the robots will notice us," Mira instructed them to hide close to the door so they could run in once they opened.
Rachel was quite nervous about all of this. It's a miracle that none of the bots have seen them already. Luckily, all of them were so busy with their jobs. They wouldn't notice anything happening around them.
Suddenly, the doors went open. Rachel and Glimmerwisp two ran as fast as they could. Mira walked right behind them, and the doors closed behind her.
They were in a big dark tunnel once the doors closed. There was only a little bit of light coming through from the end.
"I don't understand how they think facial recognition would work here; all the robots look exactly the same." Mira laughed. "At the end of this tunnel, where all the light is coming through, they make everything. We have to make it through there, which would be quite easy, and then we have to go left, where all the devices get packaged. And lastly, we have to go through another door like this one to get to where everything gets sent into the normal world."
Mira didn't give them any time to answer; she just started walking.
At the end of the tunnel was a room that looked like a large oval. It had giant machines and tall ceilings. They were standing on a platform above where all the robots were working. There weren't any windows or fresh air coming in, just bright lights.
Another thing that Rachel noticed in this world was that there was no smell. You couldn't smell anything. It had lots of benefits, but also some disadvantages. She disliked this place more and more.
The robots were all busy downstairs. The platform was on the sides of the walls, and no bots were on there. Rachel was fascinated by how fast they worked and their incredible machines. She wanted to watch what they were doing, but Mira had other plans. She grabbed Rachel's shirt and pulled on it.
"We can't get distracted; we have to focus," Mira said.
Mira was walking really quickly. Rachel had to run after to keep up.  They went through another tunnel on the left of the room they were in. This one had a lot more light coming in.
They got to another oval-shaped room. It looked exactly the same as the first one. The only difference was that this one had other machines and fewer robots. Rachel found this part just as fascinating, but she continued running after Mira, who was going to the next door they had to pass. Luckily, this platform also didn't have any bots walking around. They could easily pass and get to the next room. Rachel was mesmerised by all of this. She tried to look at how the robots were working and didn't realise she was being left behind.
When Rachel realised how far behind she was, she tried running to keep up with Glimmerwisp two and Mira when suddenly she felt a sharp sting in her back, and everything went black.
