"Finnigan! I'm so glad to see you." Rachel gave Finnigan a tight hug. Finnigan tried to get out of the hug; she was squishing his face too much.
He met her at the portal just like they had arranged the night before.
"Why does my outfit keep changing back to what I wore in the other world?" Rachel asked. "Can't I just keep it?"
Finnigan shook his head. "Unfortunately not. Sorry for being so hurried, but we must get to Whimsyille again. Hootwiggle has finalised the plan. It sounds pretty amazing."
"Before I forget, I also have something to talk to you about."
"We'll talk once we get in the car."
It looked like Finnigan was enjoying the ride in the flying car. He didn't look so nervous anymore.
"What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" Finnigan asked.
"Oh, right, I almost forgot. We have a power outage. Caleb can't play any games or do anything online. He looks like a zombie, and he's super moody. It's as if he can't function normally."
"He must have gotten some of the technology that wasn't supposed to be released if he can't go even a day without it." Finnigan shook his head. "This is a disaster, but luckily, Hootwiggle has a plan."
"We really have to do something about this, Finnigan. If I didn't know what was going on, I would've thought that a zombie would have bitten him, even though it's highly unlikely that a zombie would have bitten him since they only go for people with brains."
Hootwiggle greeted them at the office's door.
"Rachel! I'm so glad you're back. We've figured out a plan. Come sit down so I can explain it to you."
The other guardians were already sitting at the big round table. Rachel said hello and sat down next to Mirror-Mira.
"I really think this will work." Hootwiggle had a file in front of her. She adjusted her glasses and said: "You have to get into the world of technology. I'm sending three of you; you'll be less noticeable that way. Rachel, Mirror-Mira, and Glimmerwisp two, I'm sending you guys. You'll go through the Starfall Grove portal, which will take you to a library in Techtopia close to the factory. From there, you'll have to make your way to their headquarters. This will be the easy part. You'll have to get in and go up to the main office. Glimmerwisp Two will be able to get into their systems. You need to go through everything. You'll be able to see what's going on in the factory and what is being sent out to the world of reality. Check to see if there are any complaints about malfunctioning robots. Then, get out without being seen. Are you all clear on this?"
"Yes." Rachel and Mirror-Mira answered at the same time."Good. After leaving the headquarters and main office, you must go to the factory. You'll get an indication of where to start looking in the main office. After you have found the problem, you can come back. The most important part of this mission is not letting any bots see you. Especially since you come from the real world, Rachel, that will make it much worse."
Rachel took a deep breath. She didn't realise this mission would have so many risks. This didn't sound like such a good idea anymore, but she had to be brave and help the guardians.
"When exactly are we going on this mission?" Mirror-Mira asked.
"Since Rachel has to be at school tomorrow morning, you'll go tomorrow night. Rachel can come over early, and you'll have enough time to finish everything." Hootwiggle said. "Rachel, if you'd like, you can stay and get to know everyone better, or you could go home and catch up on some sleep."
