Imagination's last hope: The quest to save the unseen world

Chapter 34

Everyone was exhausted. They fell down onto the chairs next to the table.
"You have to tell us how you ended up there." Hootwiggle said.
Rachel told them how 'Marcus' just showed up one morning and claimed to be Caleb's friend. How she went for a walk and then ended up going through the portal. How the boys caught her and how she escaped. She told them everything about what Mike told her.
"I can't believe he hacked all of our systems." Paws said.
"Luckily, he won't be able to do anything in jail." Finnigan said.
"What's going to happen to him now?" Rachel asked.
"He's going straight to jail since he was caught red handed. They'll have a meeting to decide how long he'll have to stay in jail and then they'll decide what to do after that." Hootwiggle explained.
Mira looked really devastated. She didn't say anything, and you could tell that she wasn't interested in this conversation at all. "
Mira, how are you feeling?" Rachel asked her.
"This is so crazy. All this time I thought that he was dead. Now I find out that he is planning to try and take over the world because he's mad at me. He's always been that way. He always said that I'm the favourite and nobody cares about him, but it's the other way around." She remained silent for a while and took a deep breath. "I think it's better this way. I'll be okay." She smiled.
Rachel smiled at Mira. This was going to be hard for everyone. But at least now, the world could go back to normal.
"I never even thought that it might have been him, since I thought he was dead. He studied computer science, knew all about the world of imagination, he matched the criteria perfectly." Mira said.
"None of us expected it." Finnigan patted her on the back.
"Rachel, you have to get home. You only have two hours left until you have to go to school." Hootwiggle said.
Rachel said goodbye to all of them and thanked them for everything. She never expected to make such amazing friends.
She gave them all a really tight hug to say goodbye to them. After she leaves, the portal in her closet will close and she won't be able to come back here. She wanted to stay just a little while longer to say goodbye, but she couldn't. Everyone had tears in their eyes. They didn't want to say goodbye so fast. She was really going to miss this place and all the guardians.
