Vanessa

Luckily, the incident that was caused by Mrs. White didn't bring in alot of attention. The only attention I received was, the doctor on my chest trying to calm the little wound she caused.

Fro the rest of the day, Zach was besides me making sure that I was okay. Even after a thousand protest, he had the office sweeped and new measures put in place. So far, I have alot of machines that help with security. Liam was asleep in the extra room that I had. He was terrified and we couldn't let him work in his condition.

"Why was she all over you like that?" Asked Zach as he wiped the little dust he caused by drilling a safety hole to place a hinge on the remaining part of the door.

"She thinks that I switched Alexander's child while they were born," Zach looked at me with a shocked face.

The day I was taken to the delivery room, Zach and Liam were the only two people around. The delivery was through C-section and ther was no way I could have exchanged the babies. Maybe, Mrs. White is just worried about it.

I felt that she was too delusional. Though that part was proofing to be a lie since she remembered my mother's name and talked about my little child hood.

If someone was to remind me of my childhood, I didn't know any person who was friends with my mother. I lifted my hand to the little scar on my cheeks, my hands shook but I quickly composed myself to avoid alarming Zach.

"What if, I have been defending my dad but he was not the man I though he was?" Zach turned around and sat on the opposite me.

I was young when I lost my mother and I dint remember even a night when I saw my dad lay a finger on her. Even if he was pretending and behind the closed door he was a bad person, I would have known.

I don't remember that though. I didn't remember seeing him like that. The dad I knew loved us equally.

"Why are you suddenly concerned with that idea?" Zach asked.

This was not the first time Mrs. White talked about him. I had to explain the first encounter that I had with her and then this one. If this is true how can I find evidence? I know it will crush my sould but it will be worth it.

Sighing, Zach gave me the concerned look as he packed the waste remaining mad dumping them inside a dustbin before washing his hands.

"This is going to a be a long investigation but inorder for us to get an answer, we will have to dig it." Said Zach before grabbing a cup and pouring himself some coffee.

While in silence, there was call through intercom. All called came from he receptionist now that Liam was not feeling well.

"Ms. Vanessa," said the caller.

"Go ahead," i replied.

"You have a visitor."

*Visitor?* I looked at Zach who shrugged his shoulder and then grabbed the tablet from the table and started checking on the camera systems. He raised his brows and walked with the tablet towards me.

I gave him my worried look. In the lobby was Josh. Then I remembered he had to give me an answer after he begged us to worke toegther. We all knew that it was going to be a long shot. Though we knew who had sent him but we only played along.
