Her words were enough to send chills down my body but I quickly composed myself. I didn't want anyone in the table to see me lose my shit. Once she was gone, Kendra quickly stood up and followed forth. I didn't need to do anything to sent her a way, I was okay with her going on her own. Looking at the table, I was only remaining with the members. I didn't know to whom they pledged their loyality but what mattered was the company. I knew what I needed to do in the company and it was not a problem.

I carried on with meeting. Seven years of staying in a different country only to come back here empty handed? No, I was busting my ass to make sure that I learn every aspect of business, how to run it and what will he required of me. Looking at it right now, as much as I haven't accomplished everything, I know there is still a room to do all that I want to do.

Completing the meeting, every member stood to leave. I didn't want to keep people waiting. I didn't want to give myself a pat on the back because I didn't know what they were thinking. I was left with several papers to sign and various inspections to take care of. I havent been in this building ever since I turned twelve. I stopped coming when I wasn't allowed to go anywhere.

Looking at the walls, disappointement hit me, this was not the colour that my mother loved. She always loved different colours. Ocean blue was her favourite and right now, seeing cream all over the place like an hospital, I was angry. I placed the painting idea down because it needed to have one.

Completing my work, I dismissed Liam because he had to pick up some material for a customer. No matter how many things I have, I know what to do and at what time.

"There are guards outside, you don't have to bother about anything," he said while placing a cup of coffee on the desk.

I nodded and went ahead to look at the company books. Focus was a big requirement where I was.

"Please, get something to eat and make sure you pick for me the cotton that was exported from Russia," I added.

"Really?' he asked surprised making me stop in my tracks, "so you are going to remake the dress and suit?"

I had to remake the suit and the dress. No matter who or how it was stolen, the idea was still mine and I had to recreate it. The prototype was stolen but the work is still in my mind.

"Liam, I don't care, whether it was stolen, I know deep down, how hard I am willing to work to get the dress and the suit." I said turning over my work.

We held a little discussion and after he was done, he excused himself. A few minutes later, I heard some footsteps and I was surprised that he was back.

"Don't tell me that it just took you few second to have everything delivered?" I said without looking up.

"No,"

I quickly lifted my gaze only to meet with Alexander. What is he doing here? Will he be walking to everywhere I am?

"The meeting was closed one hour ago," I said trying to avoid him.

His musky Gucci hit my nostrils and the childish memory of us in that penthouse all come rushing back. I wanted to push it away but the more he steeped forward the more the memories jumped over the place.

"I came here to see you, to talk," he said and sat himself down before I could ask him to. I left my work and stared at him. His face was rough unlike when it was soft and glowing. I don't know if this is because of too much work or it is just lack of sleep. His eyes were dull and his smile wasn't radiating as it used to be but still he was handsome but I didn't want to admit that loudly.
