Chapter 14 ~ You Owe Me

My instinct tells me something is off. I thought it was apprehension from running into Sabrina. I checked in with Estefania and she was good. It dawned on me that I haven't heard from Remi since we hung up two days ago.

I called Remi-Blu and texted her a few times but I didn't get a response. I checked on Estebana and asked about Remi, Miko assured me she was fine. I had been by the penthouse to see Estebana but each time she was out with Miko.

Today I know for sure something is off. It's Sunday, I saw Estebana last night and waited but Remi didn't return. I left her with Miko and came back to my place. I wanted to workout and then pack a few things. I had decided to go stay at Remi's to be with Estebana until Remi reappears.

The workout and hot shower helped but what I really need is my woman. It's been a while since I had time with Remi, that's what this weekend was supposed to be about.

I grabbed my keys and headed to the door when I received a text. It was from Remi. About time, I saw the words "I need some", I thought me too baby as I opened the text

I looked at the pictures and video she sent me and my heartbeat increase, then I watched the video

"SHIT!"

Scrolling down the message continued.

" space, and you need to figure your shit out. I'm not Tina! I don't give third chances"

Who in the fuck, I watched the video of Sabrina and I on the Rooftop, from the angle it looked like something it wasn't, It showed us walking into together, standing very close, getting our drinks and talking, her walking away smiling and me turning to go to the elevator, shortly after Sabrina walked to the elevator.

I called her but it went straight to her voicemail. I'm not surprised , so I drove to her penthouse as I planned. My key and access still worked but she wasn't there. I found Estebana and Miko in the kitchen eating cereal.

"Hey Baby" I kissed Estebana check

"Hi Daddy" the response lacked the energy my daughter usually gave to me

Miko motioned for me to follow her into the living room.

"Remi isn't here, she asked me to give you this" Miko handed me an envelope and walked away.

Feel free to come see Ria whenever you like. I just ask that you do not take her around anyone, until we agree on when or If we let people know she belongs to us.

I went back to the Kitchen, Ria finished eating and went to her room.

"Before you ask, I don't know what happened, but I do know she is not okay"

"Did she say anything" I raised my hand to touch my forehead

"She just said it was business as usually, she would be gone for awhile and she would send for Ria depending on how long she was away" Miko wanted to say more but I knew she wouldn't

I spent the day with Ria, she eventually came around to being her normal self. After I put her to bed, I went to Remi's room and laid across her bed. I could smell her perfume.

For once I know I'm innocent but I know my woman and she isn't going to talk to me until she is ready.

I hit the punching bag hard, it shook dust off the ceiling. My patience is wearing down. It's been over a week and Remi and I have yet to speak.

This woman is driving me crazy. I kick the bag three times and punch.
