Chapter Seven: STACY
Mason looked at me.
"I'll have to left up your pant legs to treat your burn. Is that ok?" He said with a sly smile.
"Mmhm."
"Just don't enjoy it too much." I thought.
He slowly lifted up my pant leg. He was starring at my legs, but I knew he had to to treat it. I wish I had shaved. But how was I supposed to? Oh well.
"Ok. Here we go."
All I felt was pain. Deep intense pain. I was glad that Mason suggested I have a wet wash cloth. It really helped. I faded in and out of consciousness. What felt like two years, was really only about seven minutes.
After he was done, I was exhausted. He wrapped up my burn.
"Thank you." I said weakly and gave him a weak little smile.
"Your welcome." He said and kissed me on my cheek! He actually kissed me! I just wished it was on the lips instead. I felt my cheeks warm up as I blushed. A smile spread across my face. I had never kissed a guy, so this was exciting. "I'll let you rest a while, you look really tired." I started to protest but he shushed me. "Don't deny it, I can see it in your eyes." I gave up.
"Ok. Oh my gosh! I just realized I made you miss school! I'm so sorry!" I apologized frantically.
"No no. It's ok. I don't really like school anyway." He admitted.
"But still."
"But nothing. You need to be taken care of and that's more important than school." I sighed. Man was he stubborn. This fight I couldn't win. "Just curious, how did you get that nasty burn?"
I could explain why, but that would mean I'd have to explain the whole story, and I was too tired to do that right now.
"I'm too tired right now. I'll explain later, ok?"
"That's ok, I understand. Rest well ok?"
"Ok, I will." Mason turned down the lights and Stella and him left the room. As soon as they left, my eyes grew heavy and I fell into a deep sleep.
•••
I woke up to find Mason slumped over on the floor sleeping. He was holding my hand. I smiled at him. He was so adorable when he was sleeping. I tickled his ear with my finger.
"Wakey wakey..."
"Wha- huh?" Mason said with a dazed look on his face. He was so cute! "What time is it?" He looked down at his watch. "It's 2:00p.m."
I smiled at him.
"What?" He asked suspicious.
"Nothing. It's just that you're really cute when you wake up." He blushed.
"Oh." There was a chunk of hair that stuck out.
"Here. Come here." I ushered him close to me so I could fix his hair. I licked my thumb and smoothed his hair out.
"Stop it! What are you doing?" He asked moving his head away from me.
"Fixing your hair." I said with what must've been my cheesiest grin ever.
"You're so cute when you're mischievous." I felt myself blush. Oh no. His eyes were pulling me in again. Does he feel the same way about me as I do about him? Or is he just a player? I saw him leaning in again. His eyes were starting to close again.
"I have to leave once my leg heals." I blurted out. God, I'm such a mood killer.
"Oh?" Mason said in the form of a question. I sighed. It's time to tell him. Everything. So I started from the beginning. I told him everything. I don't know why, I just did. And it felt good to finally tell someone. By the time I was done, I didn't realize I was crying.
"Shhhhh." Mason soothed me. "It's ok." He took my head and held it against his muscular chest. He gently rocked me. It felt good to be against him. I felt like I fit perfectly. I pushed myself away from him to study his face. His giant green orbs drew me in but I resisted. I slowly traced his sturdy jaw line, and then his perfect eyebrows. I thought everything about him was perfect.
"You're so beautiful." Mason said. I blushed.
"You're so cute when you blush." Of course that made me blush even more, if possible. Mason leaned in really close to me, I swear he was going to kiss me. Instead he turned his head and whispered in my ear. "Your leg is so sexy." Oh my gosh. I probably looked like a tomato. Why doesn't he just kiss me?
"Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" He said quickly. Why does he do this? He draws me in then pushes me away. I love him and hate him at the same time.
"Uh, yeah. Sure." Now that I realized it, I was extremely hungry. But still. Mason shouldn't do this. IT'S NOT FAIR.
