RUN

Chapter Twenty: STELLA
Today Jane took Stacy and me out shopping for clothes. It turns out Jane is taking a week of vacation. It felt good to go shopping. I couldn't believe all that I had missed out on during the 3 years that my sister and I were running.
"Oh my gosh!" I squealed. "Isn't this the cutest?" I gushed as I held up a frilly lavender skirt. Stacy smiled. Even for her it was cute. We found out that Stacy was a little more into punk style.
"I suppose it is cute." She said with a smile.
"I could wear it on my date with Mason tonight!" Stacy's eyes flashed with anger for a second before calming down. She smiled.
"Yeah, I think it'd look real cute."
"You're the best!" I exclaimed and hugged her.
I added it to the now full cart. I had gotten two pairs of pajamas, some underwear, a few cute tops, two sweaters, a pair of jeans, and a couple skirts. Stacy got quite a few pairs of jeans, a leather jacket, a few cropped tees, and a pair of combat boots. We had gone to Good Will to get all this. I couldn't imagine how much it would cost if we didn't.
I couldn't stop thinking about my date with Mason. He promised to take me out tomorrow. This was so exciting!
I'm amusing Mason's family is pretty wealthy. Even by looking at their house you can tell they aren't poor. It's a grand, two-story house. It has a beautiful flower garden out front. Inside it's very well decorated. They even have a library! It was a pretty small room, but that didn't stop it from being cram-packed full of books!
I remember when I stumbled upon the library.
I was pretty bored because there was no good cartoons on, so I went to explore the house. I was upstairs exploring the rooms beyond Mason's room and the guest bedroom. I opened a door and found Jane's room. I quietly closed it. I tried the next door and found it was just a hall closet. I was on my third door, and I wasn't expecting anything really interesting. I opened the door to find the small library. I was completely amazed.
There was bookshelves the entire way around the room. The shelves went as high as I could reach. In the center of all the book, was two comfy chairs and a small table with a lamp on it.
I walked around the room and pulled out random books. Most of them were chapter books, but I found a small section of a shelf that had children's books in it. I can't read very well, so I picked a couple children's books. I read them over and over, until I heard the door open.
"I see you've found the library." Jane said.
"Yeah!" I exclaimed. "It's absolutely amazing!" I frowned. "But I can't read very well." I suddenly felt like I was going to cry. Jane came over and wrapped her arms around me.
"Oh sweetie, it's ok. You'll learn to read. I'll teach you." My head snapped up to Jane.
"Really?!" I exclaimed in shock. She chuckled.
"Yes, really." I hugged her really tight.
"We can also enroll you in school." Jane told me.
"You mean like make me go to school?" I asked.
"Yes." I sat there for a minute.
"That would be awesome!" I always wanted to go to school. I was only in first grade when we had to start running. She chuckled.
"You should tell Mason how awesome school is." I laughed. I could tell I was definitely going to get along with Jane.
"Alright Stella, we're ready to go." Stacy snapped me out of my daydream.
