It is a Monday morning, and the sky is bright and sunny; the hologram turns on in the living room and plays the morning news.

Shep: He'd yawn and turn to his side, rubbing his eyes.

Television: "This is N54 News, coming at you with the latest; Two armed men were stopped by a brave bystander who used his special ability to stop the bank robbers in their tracks! We later interviewed the man.."

~The tv noise fades away.~

Shep: "Ugh... damn, holo's broken again."

Dem: "Oh, you're awake." She'd look over at Shep and then look back down, continuing to sharpen her pocket knife.

Shep: He'd sit up; "Mhm. What's up with you?" He'd tap a screen next to him that lifts the window blinds. "Pretty out, eh?"

Dem: "For the best tech out there, we sure got the worst ones." She'd glance out the window and shrug her shoulders. "I guess it's pretty."

Shep: "Well, this happens when we live on the wrong side of town." He'd get up and walk up to the bedroom door. The door would sense him and slide open. He'd then proceed to the kitchen.

Dem: She'd look at the blade before throwing the knife at the wall.

Shep: He'd glance at the refrigerator, which displays the time and weather. He'd turn. "Well, someone's grumpy or just being, Hey, you want a sandwich?" He'd open the fridge and take out eggs along with other items.

Dem: "I'm not grumpy." She'd jump up and put her arms behind her head before walking over to the wall and yanking the knife out. "And yeah," She'd point the blade at Shep. "I'll take that sandwich." She'd twirl the knife around and grin before putting it in her pocket.

Shep: "Uh-huh..." He'd prepare Dem's meal with some orange juice.

~An AD plays on the cabinet for a new chip coming out later that year.~

Shep: "Hah...I still don't understand why so many people have them." He'd hand Dem her juice and sandwich. "So much could go wrong. My family never trusted them; that's why I'm 100% organic. No chips or replaced parts here. Ooh, speaking of that. I have to deliver some parts for a guy down the road. It should pay well. Hopefully."

Dem: She'd laugh, "What could go wrong?" She'd take the sandwich and devour it. "Honestly, you do some basic work."

Shep: "What's that supposed to mean?" He'd take a drink and glance at Dem before grabbing a set of keys and a box from the closet.

Dem: She'd slam the plate onto the table and walk off. "Figure it out yourself." She'd walk to the bathroom and get ready for the day. Then, she'd peek her head out of the bathroom. "You better not be going through my stuff."

Shep: "S'not like I'll find a body." He'd grab what he needed and then head to the kitchen. While walking to the kitchen, He'd open the holo and text the buyer.

Dem: She'd finish getting ready and then walk out. "I'm off."

Shep: "Uh-huh..don't get yourself killed." He'd go to the bathroom and get ready to head out.

Dem: She'd put on her coat and hat. "I won't," She'd grin. "I'd kill them first~."

Shep: "Of course." He'd walk out the door, and it automatically locks behind him.

Dem: She'd ensure the door to her room was locked before heading out. She'd then walk down a seemingly deserted alleyway humming to herself.

~Sirens and airships could be heard in the distance.~
