Jeremy: "More corp drama?"

Dem: "SHEP!...... Jeremy..."

Jeremy: "Mhm?"

Dem: "Whoever is out there that killed one of the Arasaka employees made it to where Shep is.

Jeremy: "He told you?" He'd turn the car on. "Wanna head to Tokyo?"

Dem: "We won't make it there in time."

Jeremy: "Can you teleport that far away?"

Dem: "I can't. Even if I used every last bit of my energy, we still would be too far out."

Jeremy: "Damn..of all the times for this to happen, why does it have to be now?"

Dem: "Because there is no true happy future. I can only hope Shep is able to survive."

~The holo would activate and give this message to Jeremy and Dem "If you are listening to this, then you are Arasaka personnel, or you are of great value to the company. The Arasaka Headquarters has been shut down in Tokyo, reason: Terrorist Attack. This was determined after 5+ employees were harmed by a lone assailant. More information cannot be disclosed at this time."~

Dem: "One person... ONE FUCKING PERSON!"

Jeremy: "Whoever it is, they are deadly and extremely intelligent. What I mean by that is it must be one of their own. Disgruntled employee, maybe? Only their own guys know how things operate there. He probably used his work ID to get easy access, and when he got upstairs, it was easy to get ahold of the simple workers up there, like office managers and whatnot."

Dem: "Jeremy, let's just go home... I don't want to think anymore."

Jeremy: He'd sigh and turn the car around, heading to the house just as it begins to rain.

Dem: "I don't..." I'd start shaking. "I hate all of this..."

Jeremy: He'd lay his hand on her lap as they drive down the lonely road home.

Dem: "Being nice doesn't get you anywhere in this twisted society. You're either a pawn in someone else's plans or the one controlling their own pawns."

Jeremy: "I've noticed that."

Dem: "We are nothing but mere pawns. Eventually, even the happiness I have from being with you will be stripped away. Nothing ever lasts..."

Jeremy: "Who says it'll be stripped away? I'll always be here, Dem. No matter how ugly the world gets. Two lovers in a world with no..peace practically."

Dem: "I'm finding it really fucking hard to keep staying positive, to even keep living."

Jeremy: "You do know if you die, you'll just end up in the net..forever unless someone finds your body again and revives you. Better to just try to make every second worth living, hun. Call shep later tonight; if he's doing alright, that's good news! I'm sure his co-workers were just..arguing about something."

Dem: "Yeah..."

~They get to the house, and it is pitch black out. The car turns off, and so does the last remaining bit of light in the land besides all the stars in the sky.~

Dem: She'd get out and walk into the house. She'd head to her room and sit down. Her mind was racing, unable to keep calm, waiting for a call or the news to say the words she dreaded hearing.

~Jeremy would walk in and sit on the bed, looking at her.~

Dem: She'd look over at him. "Can you honestly believe all this? I still can't properly process all the shit that keeps happening."
