~The next morning. A hologram of the Warden would appear in front of the door and wake inmates.~
Warden: "Good morning, troopers! Today, we got a new trail you must journey; make sure you head to the cafe before then. Saying this both literally and figuratively."
Jeremy: He'd yawn and check the time on the desk. "OH- Jesus, I forgot I had a roommate..." He'd get up and put his shirt on.
Dem: She'd wake up and stretch before getting up and getting changed, "Oh-"
Jeremy: "Hey, we usually do these nature walks..it's optional, but the staff encourages everyone to participate."
Dem: She'd pull her hair back and put it into a ponytail.
Jeremy: "It's to help relax and make the inmates more in shape before they head back into society."
Dem: "Uh-huh. So I guess you want me to tag along."
Jeremy: "It would be nice for both of us. Especially you, you seem tired of being indoors. It's a beautiful mountain trail. Well, most of it is wooded, but the path is obviously visible. In case it isn't, we just get a GPS route in our implants so we can see where to go."
Dem: She'd finish getting ready. She'd go to grab something off of the table and make a motion like she was loading a gun.
~Jeremy heads out to the cafe and gets yogurt and an energy bar.~
Dem: "Huh- H-hey! Wait up!"
~The cafe was very spacious and open. Inmates would come in one by one in pairs.~
Dem: She'd run after Jeremy, nearly tripping over her feet.
Jeremy: "Hm? Why the rush, Dem? AVs only leave once everyone's accounted for."
Dem: "I don't want to be alone."
Jeremy: "Eh, you won't be." He'd hand Dem a Yogurt cup; the labels would display the nutritional facts.
Dem: She'd open the yogurt and eat it before tossing the trash into the trash can on the other side of the cafe. She'd chuckle nervously.
Jeremy: He'd sit by a large window with the sun beaming through and watch tv.
Dem: She'd cling to Jeremy's arm.
Jeremy: He'd look at Dem surprised, then back at the tv.
Dem: "What's playing on tv?"
Jeremy: "Just commercials, shows don't play here that often. Still, it's nice to see what's trending on the outside."
Dem: "I guess. So are we going outside?" She'd glance around the room.
Jeremy: "Yep! Just waiting for the Warden and the Ranger."
Dem: "Oh, wait-"
Jeremy: "They'll come to the front of the cafe and write our names down, explain the rules, and then we head out to the AVs out front like school buses on a field trip."
Dem: "Maybe I shouldn't go."
Jeremy: "Well, why not?"
Dem: "A-ah, never mind that!"
~The Warden would come to the front and clap.~
Warden: "Hello, everyone, so as you all know, we have a trip planned today. Before we begin, you will be given the proper clothing when we arrive at the park. Meet Ranger Joseph; he will be the one making sure nobody goes astray."
