I finally reached my destination and saw...the man that had saved me 3 years ago!?
You see him standing next to the mission board, reading it diligently. It looks like he's been waiting for you, but his lack of emotion doesn't confirm it.You approach him quietly and wait for him to finish reading the sign. He eventually lifts his head up to look at you, and with his stoic expression, you don't know if he actually wants you here or is annoyed that you're here.
"Uh! Hey! Hi! You..You..You uhm saved me! Like a three years ago! Do you remember that? No of course you wouldn't haha!"
I spewed out in a panic.
He looks at you blankly for a few long seconds, before speaking with his trademark serious tone.
"Yes, I do remember that."
Your heart sank when you realized that the man still wasn't going to express any emotion, but what did you expect from someone with his kind of personality? He's so hard to read.
"Well uhm! Thank you!"
I sighed in relief. He had remembered!
Giyu nods slowly and goes back to studying the board. You notice that the mission is a demon that is lurking in a hotel, so you assumed that the hashira would go with you.He then looks at you straight on, still maintaining that stoic facial expression you're so used to seeing on his face.
"It seems like I will be accompanying you on the mission to eliminate the demon."
"Ah! Yes, let's go inside now!"
He turns around and starts pacing through the snow towards the building the demon is in. You quickly follow him, noticing how cold you are, but that's fine since the mission will wrap up quickly. He stops when he reaches the door and turns his torso towards you, without turning his head.
"It is not that I want to go in first," he says with a monotone voice. "I simply do not want you to go in first." His expression remains unchanged despite his cold and blunt attitude.
"Oh..Uh, why?"
"Why didn't he want me to go in first? Did he think I was too weak?"
"Demons typically do not target experienced demon slayers first." He says with his stoic demeanor.
You are unsure if that's a compliment or a diss, but it's definitely his reasoning behind why he doesn't want you to be the first one to enter the door.
"Oh...Do I need to wait for a signal or...?"
You see the corner of his lip curl in a very slight frown, and if you didn't know any better, you would think that he looked annoyed for a split of a second. But then he immediately goes back to his normal, boring and serious demeanor.
"You'll just wait until I tell you to go in after."
