What a pretty sight!

Mud.

Boulders.

Smashed trees into metal vehicles.

Thin layer of smoke covering all signs of life.

Only visible source of light was a pair of tailights and the diminishing moonlight.

Amidst the wreckage, the blaring horn cut through the scene.

The crash site looked like a twisted canvas of metal and shattered glass. As the noise persisted, a figure stirred within an inverted car, one ear ringing with disorientation.

"Ahhhh! "

The acute pain resurfacing as his consciousness emerged in fragments, and his surroundings materialized.

The vice-like grip of a seatbelt tightened around his torso. It was getting harder to breath.

"One... " 'Breath in'

"Two... " 'Breath out'

"Three... " 'Breath in'

His instincts guiding him to check his respiratory rate. The faint taste of blood in his mouth suggested signs of possible head trauma.

'Not good' He thought as he felt sweat trickling up his hair. With his free hand, the one not trapped under the seat belt, he managed to check his scalp. There was a gash on the side of his head, suggesting atleast 13 stitches if not more. Wincing, his eyes scanned the scene.

He was trapped. The front windshield fractured in a spider web pattern. The glass blurred his view, not that he could see very well without his glasses, casting distorted shadows across.

Ribbons and roses.

'It feels like I am missing something very important.'

He strained to remember the moments before the accident. Possible signs of amnesia.

'It's okay, try and remember where you were going.' Guiding himself, he tried to recollect, distracted by the ringing in his left ear.

He needed to get to the hospital, fast, to get himself checked out.

Feeling around himself, he found the clasp of the seat belt and freed himself only to come crashing onto the roof of the car.

'Just great!' He tried to push himself upright but to no avail.

'Tera sara weight training ko kam me la, Abhi... Push yourself!' He struggled in his attempt and managed to crouch down and free his legs from the seat.

Luckily, driver side window was rolled down, so he was able to crawl out.

Surveying the wreckage, he was amazed that he survived. The car was completely totaled. The major impact was towards the front side passenger seat, yet nothing was salvageable. The car rested near a massive tree trunk and it's branches fell over the bottom of the car. The limited moonlight wasn't enough to portray the accurate picture of the carnage.

'What the hell happened !?' His dazed state making it harder for him to concentrate.

Looking for some clues, he found more decorations strewn about, mixed in with an awful amount of sludge, broken branches and petrol. Oil leak!
