Navigating boundaries was harder than either of them had imagined.

Who would have thought that the one who proposed the idea would also be the one regretting it the most.

Not because she didn't feel comfortable with the clauses... Not at all.

She wanted the physical distance from her pursuer to just think and not feel too enamored.

She was even grateful at the breathing room he provided her by not bringing up his affectionate side. 'Maine aisa kya kiya jo inhe mai pasand hun ?,' she would often ponder in the silence now that she could think for once.

Was it their part meet in the exam hall, when they had only a brief eye contact ?... 'Humne to thik se baat bhi nahi ki thi.' squinting hard and nodding her head in deep thought.

'Meri aankhon pe margaye kya ?,' she fluttered her eyes in front of the rear view mirror and surveyed them... 'Ho sakta hai,' widening them to see what was so special about them... with a faint smile as she remembered how he always seemed to gaze deep into them. Making her giddy at the reminder.

'Paagal,' she hit her head, shaking it as looked out the window.

'Tumhari awaaz... bahut achhi hai'

The first compliment he gave her... filtered through, reminding her blush to come knocking at her cheeks as she suppressed her wide smile. 'Par mai to seriously bhi nahi gaa rahi thi.'

Her brows scrunched again, 'What if he was just teasing me and maine such manliya ho ? Puchhu kya ?,' she pondered again, but quickly let go of the suggestion. 'Nahi, nahi fir se kuchh casually cheesy baat boldenge aur mujhse handle nahi hoga.'
