"I am extremely disappointed!," his voice oozing with displeasure.

"Sorry... tauji...," a mumble was all he was capable of uttering. In complete contrast to his booming defiance a few hours back.

"Abhimanyu... mujhe tumse yeh ummeed nahi thi!," he said in a hushed voice,

completely let down as he pinched his nose bridge in anger.

Not having any answer, Abhi put his head down in shame. Worry and partial guilt were cloaking him at disappointing his uncle, the father figure he looked up to.

But the he also had an undercurrent of exhilaration coursing through him... His defiance made him feel powerful. His harsh words were completely true, but... could have been worded a bit differently... Maybe.

Mistaking his expression as sorrow, Anand got up from his chair to place a comforting hand on Abhimanyu's shoulder. They were in his study where they were engrossed in the discussion about his father's, Harshvardhan's condition.

He had regained consciousness shortly after, but his high fever made him immobile.

"Don't worry too much... Ussey sirf glucose deficiency hogayi thi." This made Abhimanyu look up, into his uncle's eyes. Easing some of his worry. "He'll be fine in a few hours."

Anand understood the turmoil Abhi was facing... once upon a time, he was in his shoes too.

Sighing, he patted Abhimanyu on the cheek and dismissed him. "Go... study... worry only about your exams. Ok ?"

He nodded and turned to leave the room... "Abhimanyu!," but he was interrupted by Anand who just remembered something. "...wo pharmacy se kuchh test drugs lani hai. Mai staff ko boldeta but they might not be handed over these specific formulations...," he said as he quickly scribbled a prescription and folded it over to him.

Pocketing it, Abhimanyu left to run the errand he was tasked with.

He was a very responsible and obedient kid. 'Pata nahi aisa kya bola Harsh ne ki iska gussa aise samne aya!,' Anand thought.

He was aware of the venom mouth of his brother... but his sister-in-law refused to share the details of their confrontation.

'Mujhe Harsh se bat karni padegi...,' Shaking his head at his carelessness, for over exhausting himself. 'He should have just rested... that Idiot!
