P.O.V William

She looked up at me with wonder, like she completely accepted the idea of being something more than human. How could I explain this without sounding insane? I know she would believe me, she always did. I mean it's not like I'm lying to her, she deserves to know.

"So are you going to tell me or not William?" She asked, still sitting patiently on her bed. Her strawberry blonde hair spilling over her shoulders in long curly locks. Those green eyes pierced mine as she waited for me to answer. Even though her face was still red and puffy from crying, she was quite stunning.

I walked over and took my seat next to her, Stalling I ran my fingers through my hair a few times. "Ally, I think you should get some sleep." I continued before she could complain, "We will talk more in the morning I promise. You just need to get some sleep, and so do I dying that takes a lot out of a guy."

She yawned "But there's school tomorrow."

I chuckled as she curled up next to me, already giving in to sleep. "We'll find time." She mumbled as I covered her. Knowing she would complain if I left, I stayed until she drifted into a deeper sleep.

Sneaking out of Allyson's was easy; she lived in a two story house. My house was right next door; our bedroom windows faced each other's. The tree that sat conveniently in between our houses made it easy to swing over to my window. I always kept my window unlocked, it didn't make much sense to lock it, no one could reach it it's too high up. For a normal person they wouldn't be able to make this distance without falling, even with the tree here. But I guess I'm lucky to have unnatural strength and speed to help me. So swiftly I jumped out and onto the tree, walked along a thick branch and jumped into my window.

I didn't bother to turn on the lights, I could see just fine here in the dark. My thoughts started to overwhelm me, ahg this is what I get for being stupid and dying. She's not ready for this, she's just so kind hearted and innocent. The wall cracked from the impact of my fist.

"What did that wall ever do to you?" a familiar voice spoke.

"Alaric?" I spun fast meeting him face to face. "What happened to you?" Alaric's face was covered in blood, his shirt ripped to shreds. You could already see his wounds already healing.

"Well not all of us are like you; we can't all come back from the dead. So after you dumbly died I had to fight them on my own and try to not die. All while keeping them away from your body." Alaric held up his hand before I could speak, "You're lucky I killed them before she showed up. You have got to be more careful Will." I hung my head, he was right I could have gotten her killed because I was being arrogant. "Do you hear me Will?"

My head snapped up meeting his cold gaze, "Yeah I hear you. I messed up, big time."

Alaric shook his head, "Yes you did. But that's not what I said." He walked over to my closet to grab a plain black shirt before speaking again. "What I said was that your connection with her is stronger than we anticipated, she found you almost instantly."

"What? That would mean she was on her way before I even died. "Alaric nodded in agreement.

"How much did you tell her already?" He asked while changing into my shirt.

"I told her about the demons, and I told her that I died protecting her. I also told her that I'm a keeper, well not a keeper the keeper." Alaric watched me carefully as I spoke. "I didn't explain much to her, and frankly I don't know how or what I should tell her exactly."

"She has to know." Was all he said. I knew what he meant; he wanted me to tell her about our connection... But I don't want to tell her that, I really don't want to force anything. What she needs to know is that she is in danger; she needs to know who she truly is. Alaric made his way to my bathroom to clean up; I guess it wasn't a good idea to go home all bloody. I followed him to the door. "I plan on telling her everything tomorrow." I leaned on the door frame, "I didn't want to overwhelm her, plus dying takes a big toll on a person."

Alaric's gaze met mine, "How is waiting going to help? She found you almost instantly Will, you know very well what happens when you die for the first time. A beacon is set over her head saying here I am!" Cursing I kicked the nearest item on my floor, it was probably a shoe. Alaric was right. I needed to get back to her, to protect her. "William It's been an hour since that beacon has been activated."

I left making my way back over to Allyson's, she was still sound asleep in her bed. I could feel her presence there but I needed to be there with her. I'm so stupid for leaving, anything could have happened. Quickly I jumped off the branch and into her window. Slowly I walked over to her, and bent to kiss her forehead. I need you to stay safe. As I kissed her I heard a soft tisk, silently I surveyed the room.

There in the corner sat a small guinea pig. Slowly I walked over to pick it up, He waddled into my hand. His name was Kevin, and he has a death sentence. This little guy never stayed in his cage, he's almost been squished too many times to count. Ally got him when she was 8; he is the longest living guinea pig I have ever met. I think the only reason he is still alive was because of Ally. Putting him back into his cage would be pointless; he would be out again in no time.

Ally tossed in her sleep, causing Kevin to jump from my hand and onto the dresser that held his cage. She faced away from me; she was spread out along the left side of her bed. As soon as I lay down she moved and rested her head on my chest, it's funny how she knew I was here. I let myself fall asleep knowing she would be safe here in my arms.
