P.O.V Allyson
It's been ten minutes since Jen left me here to fend for myself. Adam still hasn't shown up. The window had a great view of the backyard, and beyond the yard were so many trees. They were so tall about two feet higher than this building so the place was well hidden behind them. In the yard I spotted Will still talking to Markus, but there was no sign of Alaric which made me nervous.
A soft nose pushed under my hand, I looked down to see Sammy wagging her tail. She was a beautiful dog, her fur was mostly white, her ears and tail were reddish brown. Attentively I scratched behind her ears as I watched Will downstairs, he looked very calm.
"She seems too fancy like you." A male's voice spoke from behind me. I spun around to meet the owner.
"You must be Adam." I met his deep blue gaze; he wore a green plaid shirt with dark skinny jeans. His black hair barely covered his ears; it was a good length, and he rocked the messy look. When I said his name he smiled flashing a set of perfect white teeth. He's taller than me by maybe a head or three, the same height as Will. Adam leaned against the door frame, watching me with his hands dug into his pockets.
"Yes, and you must be Allyson." He spoke with elegance tied to an accent I couldn't quite place. I nodded as Sammy pushed all her weight into my leg, reminding me that she was here too. "Well, are you ready to continue this tour?"
"Uh yeah." Uh yeah? Is that all I could really bring myself to say. He gave me a crooked smile. My uh yeah didn't faze him. I glanced back outside the window, William was gone. "So where are we going next?"
He didn't say anything he just held the door open, Sammy walked out first I followed behind. "To the right is the sleeping corridor." He pointed to the right, but we walked the opposite way. "Straight ahead is Markus' office, and to the left of that is a bathroom." He chuckled as Sammy pushed her way up the stairs on the right of Markus' office. We followed Sammy. "Now this, this is my favorite room in this house." I nodded even though he couldn't see me. I walked behind him.
When we reached the top of the stairs my breath caught in my throat, it was absolutely beautiful. The roof was nothing but glass, the biggest skyline I've ever seen. Each wall but one was lined with bookcases, every slot filled with books. The only wall that was free of books was a glass one that overlooked the never ending supply of trees that lined this place. There were bean bag chairs everywhere like that was your only option for a seat. Everything was beautiful, the most beautiful library I have ever laid eyes on. And I could see why this is Adam's favorite room, it was mine too.
"Yeah when me and Sammy Arrived here- "
Before I could think I cut him off, "Wait Sammy is your dog?"
He chuckled revealing his dimples, "Yes, she's my soulmate." I giggled, "Why are you laughing? I'm serious, this girl has been with me through everything there's no one I trust more than her."
"I'm sorry it's not funny, it's sweet." Adam did that half smile again making me forget what I was about to say next. Thankfully Sammy rescued me by barking loudly out the window. Adam quickly walked over to where she sat with her eyes trained outside. He looked peaceful with his eyes trained below seeing what Sammy saw.
"Ally!" Will's voice scared me out of my train of thought. I turned to find him running up the steps. I giggled as he almost fell a few times.
"Hey" I said once he reached me.
"I've been looking for you." He smiled
"Whelp I've just been here with Adam finishing up my tour." Will looked over to the window where Adam stood with his back to us. Something flickered in his eyes that I couldn't quite catch.
