Ben and Jackson finished up their notes and prepared to say their goodbyes
"Your son really likes Dr.Bailey" Jackson smiled
"Yeah he's found a new best friend" Ben nodded packing up his stuff
"How's he liking Seattle" He asked
"He loves it here, I had planned to take him sight seeing a bit more but between his allergic reaction and coming here. I haven't had a chance to but he doesn't seem to mind"
"I think the only sight he is enjoying his Dr.Bailey" Jackson pointed to them as they made their way to the lab
"Dr.Warren, Dr.Avery" Jamin greeted them
"Hey buddy you finished with your first day as a chief's intern" Ben laughed
"It was very informative. I got to hear about the heads of Neuro, Cardio. And met the head of general"
"Maybe another day you can meet the heads of trauma, peds, ortho, and plastics" Jackson chuckled
"Hunt, Karev,Link,and you" Jamin read his notepad
"Wow the kid learns fast" Jackson applauded him
"Well Chief if you're done with your intern. I would love my son Jamin back" Ben chuckled
"All yours" Miranda smiled
"See you Chief B" Jamin smiled
"Later Jay-man"
Ben watched as they did a special handshake. And she walked out
"A handshake" Jackson looked at Jamin "Chief B"
"Why would anyone call her the Nazi" Jamin sat down on a stool "She's awesome"
"That's chief Bailey, I hear resident Bailey was very different" Jackson laughed
"Don't get me wrong she brought the thunder several times today. She doesn't play"
"That's Miranda" Ben nodded
"Well Dr. Warren think about my proposal" Jackson winked
"Sure thing. Jamin you done being a Bailey fan" Ben laughed collecting up his stuff
"Actually no" Jamin ran out leaving Ben and Jackson confused
"Chief B" Jamin ran down the hall looking for her. When he found her about to walk into her office he called out to her causing her to turn around
"Jay-man" She looked at him with confusion "what's wrong"
"You busy tonight" He huffed to catch his breath
"Pardon" She furrowed her eyebrows
"I would like for you to join us for dinner" He smiled
"Jamin" Ben walked over to his son "This is a hospital not a playground. You can't just be running around here"
"Well are you free for dinner" Jamin ignored his dad
"I uh" Miranda looked at Ben unsure what to say. She was just getting used to the idea of Ben's son. Having dinner with Ben himself was a whole different ballgame.
"Jamin you can't just spring dinner on people" Ben reflected when he first asked Miranda out to dinner "Besides she probably has surgery"
Miranda knew that was a reference to her initial rejection of him. It was slightly comical to her that she has now been asked to dinner by two Benjamin Warrens. She looked into Jamin's eyes. This boy had been the light of her day and she wanted to repay the favor to him. The boy that initially triggered her had actually calmed her nerves today.
