SER JORAH
How the mighty has fallen, a once proud northman is now on the run from his own countrymen, marrying lyneese hightower was one of the biggest mistakes he'd ever made, but who could blame him?, after all love is said to make men blind, wars have started and ended because of love, empires risen and toppled in the name of love.
A once proud lord, a man who has led the northern foot soldiers on pyke and defended the north against the Ironborn with just two thousand men, he failed his family, his Kingdom and his king. When king Eddard came for him, Jorah didn't run, he stayed to receive justice but it seemed that the gods weren't done with him yet, and neither was his king.
"Ser Jorah, you are a man good and true, it pains me to see that it's you who has done this" his king spoke, he could hear the disappointment in his voice.
"I have nothing to say to defend myself your grace, and I won't insult you by lying to your face, I made a bad decision and now justice has caught up with me, I apologize for the insult to my family, to you my king, and the north in general"
The king was quiet for a while that Jorah started thinking he left but looking up he could see the man looking at him like he was a mystery that needed solving.
"Would you like to redeem yourself my lord?"
Jorah couldn't believe what he was hearing, was the king thinking on sparing his life?, he might have put on a brave face when he was placed on the headstone but deep down he was scared, anything, he'd do anything to redeem his name and keep his head.
"Yes your grace, I would, what will you have me do?"
"Get up my lord, we should talk in private"
That little private meeting led to Jorah now serving the Targaryens, king Eddard sent him to them to keep them safe and also be his eyes and ears amongst them. Every moon he sends report of where they were and how things were going, in the last five years they had moved into almost five houses because of king Robert's assassin's, when Ser Willem Darry passed, the servants and guards made away with all the wealth in the manse so the day Jorah found them, they were infact in trouble, queen Rhaella was caught stealing fish and bread to feed her starving children and the merchant who own the goods said she either paid him in gold or he'd have her for three nights. It was then that Jorah arrived and payed for the food and then bought them more.
When Rhaella found out he was infact a northman, she took her children and ran, for close to six moons Jorah kept searching for them but he couldn't find them until one night in volantis when a manse was suddenly on fire and men on horses where chasing a woman and her children. Getting close enough Jorah found out that it was infact queen Rhaella so for the second time in his life he was a hero to a woman in an alley. When she saw it was him, she tried bolting again but Jorah cornered her and they spoke all through the night, when morning came Rhaella couldn't deny that her children were indeed tired and needed rest so she took him up on his offer that they live with him, he told them he was a member of the company of the wolves so he travelled a lot it would mostly be her and her children that would stay in the little house, the gold his king gave him definitely served it's purpose considering he wasn't making that much from the company.
Two years later and he had earned their trust, they moved together whenever assassin's came for them, before long his king sent more men to him under the disguise of the company of the rose's men, the royals were all of a sudden no longer beggars.
Everything was going well untill the day came when a raven arrived from his king telling him to tell the royal family the truth and bring them to Winterfell, Jorah was divided on what to do, he had come to love them like they were his own family, what was his king's intentions towards them, it definitely wouldn't be to kill them cause if he wanted them dead he could have done it a lot more sooner,or he wouldn't at least ask him to tell them the truth.Eddard Stark was up to something.
