WARNINGS: Bullying; Underage Drinking
Peter was walking out of school when the hair on his arms rose up. He knew he could dodge the football headed his way, but it would bring unnecessary attention. So he turned in time to be hit in the face with the ball.
Laughter was heard as his nose throbbed from the hit. Small drops of blood escaped before it healed over.
"What the hell is your problem?!"
Oh no. Peter recognizes that voice from anywhere. He quickly grabbed Hope's arm, pulling her back.
"Hope... Hope! It's alright. I'm fine! See," Peter said, showing her that he healed already.
"Peter, that asshole shouldn't have thrown it at you in the first place," Hope snapped while pointing at Flash.
"That's normal. Nothing I haven't dealt with before," Peter reassured, dragging her away, "Let's just go."
"So you just allow yourself to get bullied," Hope scoffed, "That's fucked up. Even for me."
"You do know I'm trying to keep a secret identity, right," Peter teased, causing Hope to roll her eyes.
"Look, all I'm saying is be careful. I know how bullying can affect people," Hope said, "You're one of my best friends. I don't want to lose you over this shit."
Peter's eyes softened as he smiled at her warmly.
"I'm okay. I swear," Peter said.
Hope finally dropped the subject and walked with him.
"By the way, what are you doing here," Peter asked, "Not that I'm not happy to see you."
"My dad told me to go to the Stark tower. Apparently he had some business to take care of," Hope said, "Jack is here too because Dean is also busy."
"The Winchesters and Mikaelsons busy on the same day? That's never a good sign," Peter muttered.
Peter led Hope up to the living quarters of the tower. Jack was already inside, waiting for them. It was mostly empty at the moment, so her, Jack, and Peter had the place to themselves.
"Where does your dad hide his liquor," Hope asked.
"Hope, he'll kill us both of you touch it," Peter said.
"One, I'm immortal. Two, he loves you too much to kill you," Hope sassed, pulling out a bottle of whiskey.
Peter sat next to Jack, who was filling out homework. Jack attended the Salvatore school with Hope. It was the best way he could learn to better control his powers and gain academic knowledge at the same time.
"Whatcha doing," Peter asked.
"Late homework. I'm trying to catch up," Jack said, smiling at Peter.
"What's the lesson," Peter asked, glancing at the paper.
"Enochian Magic," Jack said, "I never knew there was a such thing, honestly."
"Your school always has such cool lessons," Peter said.
"I'm telling you, you should just transfer over," Hope said, handing him a cup of whiskey.
"I'll need my dad's approval. Also I'm still Spider-Man so there's that," Peter said.
"And I'm the Tribrid who does her rescue missions at night. Just like you, Peter," Hope reasoned, "You don't have to stop being Spider-Man. But I think it'll be better to have you in a school that could better suit your needs. You're still free to come back here and visit Ned and MJ as well."
Peter chewed on the thought for a moment.
"I'll talk to my dad about it. I highly doubt he'll say yes though."
