The following day, Peter sat with Hope and Jack during lunch.

"Did I miss anything," Peter asked.

"Nothing but MG getting ignored yet again for trying to be there for Lizzie," Hope said.

"Who's Lizzie again," Peter asked.

"One of the Saltzman twins. Also a Gemini witch," Jack said.

"Heretic now. Her parents found out that turning into a vampire could prevent a power battle with her sister," Hope said.

"I forgot about that. She never really shows her vampirism much," Jack said.

"I'm confused. I thought witches can't be vampires," Peter said.

"You'll learn more about everything as time goes on," Hope smiled.

"So MG has feelings for the vamp-witch. Does she not like him," Peter asked.

"Basically..."

"I never really understood it. You see these people get into relationships, then end up heartbroken. Why get involved in something that hurts," Jack asked.

Peter stared at him in question before it clicked.

"Jack, have you always felt this way," Peter asked.

"Well, yeah," Jack shrugged, "Why?"

"Sounds like you're Aromantic," Peter said.

"Aromantic? What does that mean," Jack asked.

"You don't desire a romantic relationship whatsoever," Hope said.

"But I love my family. And I love you guys," Jack smiled.

"We love you too, little Angel. But platonic and familial relationships doesn't involve romantic attraction," Hope explained.

Jack hummed in deep thought.

"Hey, Jack."

He looked up to see Lizzie walking their way.

"Are you and your friend coming to the party," Lizzie asked, looking directly at Peter.

"All three of us were coming," Jack said.

"Three," Lizzie asked.

"Hope, Peter, and I," Jack said.

"Oh. Right," Lizzie said, cutting her eyes at Hope.

Then she walked away. Hope scoffed at her attitude towards her. She still has no idea what she did wrong?! Except maybe beating her dad half to death... But her humanity was off, dammit!

"So I'm guessing you and her don't like each other," Peter said, speaking on Lizzie.

"Apparently we don't," Hope sighed, getting up, "I'll see you guys later."

Peter's phone buzzed in his pocket. He opened it and saw a text from Ned. He noticed the spider emoji and chuckled.

"First day of school and already called into work," Peter said, "I'll see you later, Jack."

Jack waved as he left the building. While alone, Jack decided to look up Aromantic, in case Peter was onto something.
