WARNINGS: Mentions of Underage Drinking

Lucifer sat down at a private table with Jack.

"30 minutes of visiting," Caroline reported, glancing at Lucifer.

She walked away from them as Lucifer turned to Jack.

"Hey, kid..."

Jack reached over and started the timer without a word. Lucifer ignored the lack of joy from him.

"I heard your presentation went well," Lucifer said.

"Yeah," Jack muttered.

"Not gonna talk to me," Lucifer asked.

"You want me to talk? Let's talk," Jack snapped, sitting up, "You were supposed to be at the presentation! You were also supposed to be at the game that I purposely lost! Just like you were supposed to be there to pick me up for Easter break last spring!"

Lucifer bit his tongue to keep from snapping at Jack.

"Now you randomly show up, like you didn't miss important parts of visiting that I was looking forward to," Jack asked, a brief look of hurt showing on his face, "I counted on you."

Lucifer leaned back in his seat.

"I know this is no excuse. But I was saving someone. I've been saving people because you told me that you wanted me to be good," Lucifer said, "I'm working with my brothers again."

"Who did you save," Jack asked, not believing what he was hearing.

"Loki... I saved Loki," Lucifer said, making Jack's eyes softened.

"What happened to Auncle Loki," Jack asked softly.

"The strings attached to his body were killing him. So my brothers and I took the pressure from him. We're in charge of keeping the strings up now," Lucifer explained.

Jack looked away from Lucifer in deep thought. That was a perfect reason for him missing the presentation.

"Thank you for saving him," Jack said.

Lucifer smiled at Jack.

"I will make up for not being around," Lucifer said, "I promise."

"What if you break that promise," Jack asked, "I need some kind of refund on those words."

"Blackmailing me, Jack? How evil of you," Lucifer smirked.

"What can I say? I get it from my father," Jack teased.

Lucifer huffed out a chuckle.

"If I break that promise, you can have Crowley for a week," Lucifer said.

"I don't want Crowley," Jack said.

"Okay. You can have... What do you want," Lucifer asked, finally realizing what he was doing.

"I'm so glad you asked," Jack smirked, leaning forward, "Party supplies. Like ice chests, speakers... Alcohol."

"Party supplies? Who's having a party? Also aren't you a bit young to be drinking," Lucifer asked.

"That's too many questions that you don't need the answer to. The fact of the matter is, if you fail to uphold your promise, can I count on the party supplies in return," Jack asked.

Lucifer thought for a minute before agreeing.

"Yes."

"Shake to confirm the deal then," Jack said, extending his hand.

"Making a deal with the devil? Don't they advise against that in this school," Lucifer asked.

"Typically yes, but being the devil's son has it perks," Jack smirked.

Lucifer shook his hand firmly, confirming the deal. The timer went off at the exact moment.

"I have another game coming up in a week. I would like you to be there," Jack said.

"I'll be there," Lucifer said, standing up.

Jack stood up as well.

"Hopefully, you will. I'll be looking for you in the crowds," Jack said, his lips curving into a genuine smile.

Lucifer debated on giving Jack a hug. Jack rolled his eyes and made the move first. He hugged Lucifer until he returned it.

"I'll see you later, dad," Jack said, walking away slowly.

He smiled while waving at Jack. Then Lucifer turned and left.
