Emily fell back and landed into a soft white blanket. No not a blanket. Snow. She slowly stood up, pulling her brother up as well. "Ryan... where are we?"
He shrugged. "I don't know Elle but we need to get back to mom. Let's go." He tugged on her hand but Emily refused to move. "Em!"
Emily shook her head. "Those men wanted us Ryan. They killed mom, who knows what they'll do to us?"
"Yeah, well this place could be dangerous. It could be.."
"Dangerous? It's a magical land. We came here through my wardrobe!"
"Precisely my point, we don't even know where we are!"
"Jeez Ryan we need somewhere to escape!"
"You are so annoying sometimes! I'm finding a way to get back you can join me if you want!"
"Fine! I won't, by the way!"
"Fine!"
Ryan stormed off in the direction that they came and Emily jogged off the other direction. After a few minutes, she had cooled off and went to turn back. "Ryan I'm sorry!" she yelled into the forest. No answer. She spun around and fell face first into the snow. "Ugh!"
She stood up slowly and went to walk back the way she came, but she didn't know which direction it was. The snow was falling quickly and had managed to cover up all her footprints. "Ryan? RYAN! HELP!" she screamed. No answer.
Emily sighed and started walking one direction. She felt so tired, so cold. So numb. She was ready to give up when something caught the attention of her brown eyes, making her breath catch in her throat. Up ahead was the most magnificent ice castle Emily had ever seen. Not that she had seen many ice castles but this one would surely have to be up there.
Her legs quickened at the sight, and she made her way towards the palace. Soon enough she could feel herself trudging through the snow, through the tall, thin gate until she was standing in front of the largest, most imposing door she'd ever seen.
She took a deep breath and walked through the door.
It was magical. There were ice sculptures that looked exactly like people and magical creatures she had only ever dreamed of. The floors, walls and columns were so shiny she could see her reflection in them. 1000 Emily's stared back at her. She gazed up in wonder at the grand staircase, the huge windows and the large grey coat behind her. She felt as if her eyes were playing tricks on her, as the grey coat looked as if it was moving. All of a sudden, she heard a growl and saw a flash of movement. Emily spun around to she a wolf standing there with a sword pointed at her. She screamed as loudly as she could.
"HOW DARE YOU ENTER THIS CASTLE WITHOUT PERMISSION. INTRUDER!" the wolf growled.
Emily screamed again. "It... TALKS?"
It's eyes suddenly widened and it lowered its sword. "So, you're one of them. A daughter of Eve..." It paused for a second. "Come on. I will take you to the queen." He jabbed his sword at Emily and she followed the direction he was pointed, until she saw an icy lady sitting on a throne.
Emily stepped forward nervously. "Hello, um, your majesty. I'm so sorry for intruding but I have no idea where I am and I can't find my brother and I was wondering if you could maybe, help me?"
The queen glared at her. "I will... forgive you for intruding. And as for your brother... we have him. Guards, take her to the son of Adam. The same way as him."
Suddenly, two wolves flew at Emily and she screamed. They tied her up and dragged her along the icy floors. "Let me go, I haven't done anything wrong. LET ME GO!"
The queen unlocked a dungeon door and said to someone inside, "I guess you weren't so useless after all, Son of Adam."
A/N: Second chapter done! Coming up with ways to fit Emily and Ryder into the storyline is difficult cause I don't want to change anything. I don't think I'm going to write Peter, Lucy and Susan with the beavers and just keep it to Emily's POV. I might do some of Edmund and Ryder's POV though. Hope you enjoyed!
