When Emily woke up, she could still feel Edmund's arm around her.
She lay there, still, not wanting to wake the sleeping boy next to her.
After a few minutes she couldn't wait any longer.
"Edmund wake up" she whispered, gently shaking him.
"Five more minutes Mum" Edmund slurred, half awake.
"It's Emily now wake up!"
Edmund shot up from the floor. "Uh, sorry Emily. I just thought-" he stuttered.
"It's okay, just get up now we need to get out of here."
Edmund picked up the frozen piece of bread, the only food he had, and stared at it. There was no way he could eat it.
"If.. you're not going to eat that." A voice whispered in the dark. Edmund's head shot up and he peered into the shadows, where he could see the head of a faun. "I'd get up but, but my legs."
"Mr Tumnus." Edmund said wriggling closer to the voice. He dragged the shaking girl next to him along with him. "Come one Emily, it's okay."
Mr Tumnus just stared at the pair. "You're, you're Lucy Pevensie's brother."
"Yes, I'm Edmund." The boy nodded.
"Yes, yes you have the same nose" Mr Tumnus replied. "Is your sister alright? Is she safe?"
Edmund's face went pale as he murmured, "I don't know."
Emily could see that Edmund was uncomfortable so she interrupted the pair. "Um hello Mr Tumnus. I'm Emily Stone, another daughter of Eve."
The fauns eyebrows raised. "Another daughter of Eve? The prophecy only talks about two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve- Wait. Did you say your last name was Stone?"
Emily was taken aback. "Yes my name is Emmiline Stone."
"Are you, by any chance, related to Sasha Stone?"
Emily gasped. "Yes, she's my aunt! How do you know her?"
Mr Tumnus ignored her. "Oh you must be Milabett's daughter then!"
"No sir I think you are mistaken. I don't have an aunt Milabett."
"Milabett Stone. Sasha Stone's older sister. I remember it clearly."
"My mother is Elizabeth. Elizabeth Stone."
Mr Tumnus's face drops. "Oh, well, that's okay. Eliza would be a good mother."
"Hey! What's wrong with my mother-" She was cut off by the gate slamming open, and the White Witch marched towards Edmund and picked him up by the collar. "MY POLICE TORE THAT DAM APART AND THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY WERE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. WHERE ARE THEY?"
"I don't know!"
"Let go of him!" Emily yelled. The witch glared at her before dropping him on the floor. Edmund screamed and Emily rushed over to him. "Edmund are you okay?" She asked, but Edmund's reply was cut off by the witch yelling at Mr Tumnus.
"GUARDS! RELEASE THE FAUN!" Mr Tumnus cried out in pain as the guards drop him in front of the witch. She stared down at him. "Faun do you know why you're here?" she asked.
"Because I believe in a free Narnia" Mr Tumnus replied, looking up at the witch.
She smirked at him. "No. You're here because he." She points at Edmund who is cowering in the corner, "traded you in for sweeties."
