A/N: I love this song so much
The guards threw Emily inside and she landed with a thud. "OW!" she screamed in pain.
"Are you alright?" a boy asked her. She glanced up and her heart fluttered immediately. He had dark brown hair and beautiful brown eyes, and freckles that spread across his nose. He offered his hand to her. "I'm sorry you got caught up in this, she must have thought you were one of my sisters, one of the Daughters of Eve. She will have to let you go."
"Wait!" Emily blurted. "What do you mean by Daughter of Eve?"
The boy smiled. "As in.., we are not from this world. Not from Narnia."
"Narnia." Emily breathed. "That's where we are?"
His brow furrowed. "Yes, but if you didn't know that... that means." His brown eyes widened in realisation. "You're from Earth as well!"
She smiled. "Yes I am. From London."
"Woah me too." He offered her his hand. "I'm Edmund, Edmund Pevensie."
"Emmiline Stone, but my friends call me Emily." She took his hand and shook it.
"That's such a pretty name. I wish I had something more... original."
Emily smiled. "I've never met anyone named Edmund before. But my mother loves names so our names are definitely original."
"Original? How so?" Edmund was intrigued.
"Um well my name is Emmiline Astrid Ellibeth Mariya Rosee Sasha Stone. My brother is Ryder Liam Tommas Lukas Edword Ollivar Stone, but he goes by Ryan. So that original" She said with a laugh.
"Brother? You have a brother? Is he... here?" Edmund asked.
"Yes my twin brother. He is here as well. At least I think he is" She trailed off.
"Would you mind me asking why he wasn't captured along with you?" Edmund's brow furrowed and he looked deep in thought. Wow he even looks good when he's confused. His eyes, they're so... FOCUS EMILY. Get a grip of yourself!
"Oh um, we had a small fight. Ryan wants to go back so we can check on our mo- CAT! Our pet cat, ummm Nancy. Yep Nancy, our cat. But um, I wanted to stay, so we split up. Yes. That's it." Emily's face was bright red as she struggled to figure out what to say to him. She couldn't tell him about her mom. Not yet.
Edmund looked at the tomato faced girl suspiciously. He knew something was up, but he didn't want to ask her. She would tell him when she was ready. Well, he hoped so.
Emily sighed. "It's late, we should probably sleep." She started looking around the room for a bed to sleep on, but couldn't find anything.
"Yes we should." Edmund responded. "There's no beds though."
Emily smiled. "It's okay." She started taking off her winter coat.
"WAIT, what are you doing?" Edmund burst out frantically. "It's too cold."
"Then you can warm me up." Emily said, before turning a bright shade of red. "Wait, I didn't mean it like that. I meant-"
"It's okay, I get it" Edmund said with a smile, his cheeks a shade of pink as well.
Emily gave him a small smile before lying down. The cold ice tingled against her skin and she shivered. She felt Edmund lie down next to her and whisper "Thank you Emily", but she was too tired to reply. His arms wrapped around her, keeping her warm as she dozed off.
