- start episode 2 -

it was requested for all trainees to head to this room, dawn had entered with his new friends that he had met recently at the star level test. ricky, hao, ollie and brian, they were nice and treated dawn well. luckily for dawn was that they could also speak mandarin so if he couldn't speak korean, he could at least speak his native language.

he wondered why they were in this room and asked his new friends.

"i don't know but it could be a new mission?" hao wondered as ollie had a suggestion that dawn wished that would actually happen, he had suggested that the staff would give them some money for joining. but of course that was impossible especially since that was bizarre.

all of a sudden, loud gasps and excitement was heard. dawn immediately turned his neck around and noticed the well known sunmi was here, following those behind him he also immediately stood up in shock. he was a huge fan of her so meeting her was insane for him, his inner fanboy was about to come out but by his side was hao who held his hand which calmed him down.

he was in shock and so were the trainees in the room as him, as she walked through the room dawn couldn't stop but admire her looks. she was one good looking woman, she probably made him straight at this moment. sunmi was shocked to hear the cheers for her, like there was no reason to be shocked when your name is sunmi!

it was finally announced that today they would be watching the first episode and rumour had it that the ranks would be shown up. dawn was so excited but scared to see what rank he was, it was a surprise for everyone as you didn't know what the fans would think of you especially since there are editors that could portray you as a good person or a bad person just by angles.

suddenly, haruto who was in the front asked where she was going to sit. this created a huge bunch of trainees sacrificing their seat just for her, and dawn was apart of them but she sat in the middle of the walkway where dawn was one seat away from her. he was dying at how close she was!

excitement and cheers spread around the room as the boys planet logo displayed on the screen which signified that it was about to start. dawn watched carefully as the first few trainees were being displayed, it was cute how they sort of showed everyone.

there were some scenes that were taken out of context and that could have destroyed someone's career but it seemed as if both sides took it well and made it into a joke which was the positive in the atmosphere.

suddenly, dawn found himself staring at his own face. he hid between the bottom of the seat and heard his own voice in an interview, he could tell that all eyes were on him as they tried searching for the boy. hao and ricky who were on his sides were laughing at the cuteness of this boy, they finally grabbed him after he was off the screen.

he was really enjoying how so far everyone had some sort of screen time, i mean it was impossible for everyone to have the same amount since there were 99 trainees plus masters they had to show. that was when the camera showed dawn walking into the stage with shaky hands, dawn remembered this exact moment, the moment where he had his first ever performance in front of 100+ people.

dawn was hiding his face as he was trying to block his view from seeing his performance and that was when sunmi talked to him.

"you're such a cutie! you did so well, don't be embarrassed, i enjoued it!" sunmi said as dawn nervously replied back thanking her, but dawn was dying inside since not everyone gets a compliment from one of their favourite artists.

the funny moments were captured as doha and mingyu's performance was shown, everyone was laughing and so was sunmi who was laughing the hardest. dawn laughed at this as he's never seen someone laugh this hard.

but in all laugh and fun there was seriousness, the ranks were about to be revealed. dawn held on to both hao and ricky's hands as he was shaking wondering how high he had ranked out of 99 trainees.

slowly one by one, each name popped up as everyone started searching for their own name. dawn didn't want to look for his name so he started searching for his friend's name. zhang hao was 8th which was really good, ricky was 13th, ollie was 24th and brian was 37th, he realised that did they stayed at this rank, they would most likely make it to the next round.

dawn started searching for his name at the bottom expecting that he would be in the lower half but he was surprised seeing that he wasn't in there. hao decided to ruin it for him as he revealed that he was fourth, dawn went into shock as he didn't believe it until he saw in with his own eyes.

despite it being the first rankings and that anything could change, he wanted to cry but held it in. but there was still another episode that was up next!

- back to star level test -

many performances had been performed and dawn realised there were still more so i guess he was dying but to his surprise, they were granted a break for some time since cameras weren't working for some time.

as he walked back to the backstage area with his new friends, he met again with the other yuehua boys. they had just met so of course they would still be awkward, but dawn went to fixing his hair as he was sometimes conscious his hair didn't look good despite it looking the same.

"hyung, your hair looks good. don't worry about it." yujin said with a genuine smile which relaxed dawn as yujin dragged him back to the conversation, dawn was really confused on why he had done that for him despite only meeting him today but yujin was a sweet person who only wanted the best for his older hyungs as he was one of the younger members.

"also, dawn." seungeon suddenly said as dawn was munching his snacks while his mouth was puffed up, which surprised them as it was quite cute.

"why don't you rap as much. you don't have the image of a rapper but when you rapped on the stage, i was blown away." seungeon asked.

"i learnt rapping on my own well my dad taught me since he was a rapper when he was younger but he didn't have much success. also something else, i can produce and write my own songs, i even have a solo song that i wanted to perform but it wasn't allowed." dawn said as the others looked at him in shock, how come this much talent fit in this tiny body.

"can you show us?" ricky said as he suddenly wanted to hear it.

"it's on my files app on my laptop so i can't access it here but if we do hang out, sure!" the yuehuas looked at each other and made a face.

"after this whole thing, let's hang out and listen to that song of yours." gyuvin said as dawn wasn't expecting to hear this, but luckily for him he found out that they didn't live to far as the dorms were near each other perhaps in the same building.

as dawn started backing up since people wanted to walk by, he suddenly bumped into someone.

"oh sorry!"
