ugly uniform

dawn walked out of the stanky as building while holding hao's hand, right now it was clear that they were closest friends. whatever dawn's connection to hao was he didn't care as he felt safe with him, although he was still curious on why he felt so safe with him.

"do you think we're gonna learn the signal song right now?" gyuvin asked yujin who was also wondering but dawn probably thought they would as they did win the advantage, everytime he looked at gyuvin he saw song kang so maybe that's why he thought gyuvin was cute?

so far this was his impression of the yuehuas, brian and yunseo, they weren't as talkative compared to the others so he didn't really think much of them but when they did talk to him they were really sweet. however ricky and gyuvin were different, they were really close and dawn could tell they always had something plotted such as when they swapped seats during the level test, they were definitely the good looking nice duo that everyone liked.

yujin and ollie were basically children so whatever dawn was doing, he would still constantly make sure to look after them as they were really cute. seungeon, he was really friendly and keep dawn interested, he would occasionally ask dawn questions that were interesting but dawn didn't mind as he only had pure intentions. but hao was a difficult case, he still couldn't remember where he's seen him because dawn knows he's seen him before but where. other than that hao was a really nice hyung who promised to take care of him even after they debut together but dawn knew that would be impossible because only nine would debut and he knows he won't get in.

"dawn?" gyuvin suddenly said as dawn turned back to seeing gyuvin looking serious, he was quite scary when he was serious because so far he's only seen the loud version of him.

"i promise to help you with the choreography when i get it down because i think they're gonna teach it to the korean group first." gyuvin said with a smile which dawn could tell that he meant every word he said, why was he so nice to him? dawn thanked him and caught up to the others while ricky headed back to gyuvin with confusion on why gyuvin wanted a private conversation with him?

ricky wanted to know what was up but for once gyuvin was staying silent so ricky could tell something was weird. meanwhile dawn continued to walk with hao as they finally reached the building where they were asked to meet at, inside as they walked in they were met with a huge room with mannequins wearing what looked like uniforms.

"if this is our uniform, ew." dawn exclaimed in disgust but then realised the ones he called ugly were the ones for the other stars, as he looked at the all stars, they were decent compared to the rest but they definitely needed an upgrade. the uniform he was going to wear was a shiny purple material with pink.

he looked over at ricky, ollie and brian and noticed they looked upset that they weren't with hao and him so he promised them that next round they were going to be in the same class as them. as he was about try on his uniform, he realised that one of his arms were stuck in the wrong hole but out of nowhere gyuvin went out of his way to help him which was quite cute.

dawn was quite shocked but still thanked him, hao was looking at this the whole time and noticed something off with gyuvin, he would never do this unless..

that was when the trainees heard a door open wide open and there the masters were walking in the room with style. the trainees were then asked to line up in the stars they received, dawn followed hao as he was the person he could go up
to and trust to tell anything.

a surprise was given to the trainees as it was announced that the low stars shouldn't be too upset and the higher stars shouldn't be too safe as their stars could be changed in the next test. dawn was worried as in a matter of time, he could be wearing the uglier uniform.

"the next test is the signal song test."

hearing these words were a dream coming true, dawn has always loved the signal songs as it was like their theme songs. this was such an exciting moment, dawn was going to be apart of a special moment and he wanted to do it well. he grabbed hao excitedly not caring that he was letting loose for once!

a screen was revealed with the stage that they were going to perform on, all stars were going to perform on the higher platform and each platform went down by each star. but the sad thing was that anyone who received zero stars would barely get any time as they were on the floor ground, not even on the stage.

once again a benefit was on the line, and no surprise it was k v g. the thing is dawn hated the idea as this was supposed to being the boys together but this was a competition so it was quite confusing whether they wanted us to like each other or not. the group with the most stars would win the highlight which showcases them in a particular part of the song.

lastly, a trainee who performed the best would be granted the killing part. as much as dawn wanted to take it, there were so many trainees who would die for this and dawn was one of them but right now he didn't feel ready for this. the trainee would be chosen from the all star's group so maybe dawn had a chance but there was a whole list of people so it was a low chance.

"the signal song will be revealed."

and just like that, everyone was going crazy waiting nervously to hear what it was gonna sound like but dawn was confused. he thought that they were only going to be revealing it to the k group since they had won the benefit however the name of the song was revealed.

"here i am"

dawn loved the name as it reminded him that everyone was here for each other even during the lows and highs so it was a good title. as they were about to reveal the song, dawn's previous thoughts became true as sadly the global group was being kicked out of the room.

every trainee was quite disappointed including dawn as they all wanted to hear what it sounded like but i guess that was impossible. the door slowly closed as the gap between them and the k group was now closing up. they tried listening through the door but that was impossible as it must have been a sound proof door.

"we will now take you to your dorms!" one staff said as they were now collecting their belongings and dawn collected his. he wondered who he would be sharing a dorm with?
