dawn was starting to get used to the atmosphere of the dorms, although there were some who snored he somehow got used to it by now. last night after the first rehearsal, he had gotten a call from the staff saying that someone had paid for his parents debt, this was shocking news as dawn didn't know anyone who would do that.
this got dawn in a good mood hearing that his parents were doing better at their store, as the leader for his team he wanted to be fair and wanted everyone to have a voice so he asked them what time they wanted to rehearse, to his surprise they all agreed at 11am which was perfect.
"dawn, how is love me right?" ricky asked as they were making their beds getting ready to just lay down after practise, dawn was happy with how it was going as the team was talented and funny.
it was currently 9am and dawn was quite hungry so he decided to get some breakfast, the yuehua were there in their usual spot. dawn headed over and everyone looked so tired from last night, why was dawn the only one being so cheerful right now? yunseo and yujin were the only ones in the same team whilst everyone was split into different teams, but dawn was still able to see gyuvin during practise.
"are you full? eat more!" gyuvin suddenly said as he realised that dawn got a small portion and finished it immediately, dawn wasn't full at all but he didn't want to gain weight as he was always conscious about his weight which was quite the struggle everyday.
"im full! dont worry." dawn said as he grabbed the remaining juice he had and headed to the bathroom to just wash his face. that's when the door opened and gyuvin entered, dawn suddenly remembered how his parents were paid in full and gyuvin was the only one who knew.
"my parents were given money, they could finally pay off their debt. which means i don't have to work part time anymore, whoever the person is im so happy and want to meet them." dawn said as gyuvin had a smile on despite being really tired from the practise.
"that's good, but are you sure you're not full?" gyuvin asked, dawn was so curious on why he cared it's not like they were super close. despite the fact that gyuvin knew one of his most serious secrets, he decided to be friendly with him plus he was quiet about it.
gyuvin was a giant compared to dawn, perhaps that's why gyuvin cared so much about him. he was worried about why he barely ate this morning and why he probably lied about being full despite only eating 1/10 of the food, did gyuvin like dawn? of course not, he was straight but why did he care so much?
"do you wanna head to practise together?" gyuvin asked as dawn agreed and headed together, on the way they both spotted other trainees in their respective rooms. dawn felt at peace with him, he was really soft and kind hearted plus he had a good sense of humour.
but before entering the room, dawn had one question for him.
"gyuvin, why did you walk out with yujin and ricky during that one time we were eating?" gyuvin suddenly turned around and was too shocked to speak, he didn't know what to say as he didn't want to say something that may cost their new friendship especially since it was too early for it so he lied on the spot.
"i was tired, you shouldn't worry too much about me. it's you i should worry about." gyuvin smiled as dawn believed him and headed to their respective sides, dawn was the last person to arrive for his team despite being the leader which was quite embarrassing.
"hi! do you guys want to start with vocal practise or dance practise first?" dawn as the leader asked, the group all decided to start with vocal as it was best to start with what was most important. having good vocals was the starting base of being a good idol, if you can't sing then why perform in front people.
jay was the respective main vocalist, dawn loved the way he sang, he was relaxed and could fit any style of singing. the funny thing was that he once told dawn he lost confidence but dawn knew he was just nervous which was true.
anthonny, the sub vocalist 1. despite getting close recently, dawn had a close relationship to him. he was also mixed with chinese just like dawn so he knew what it felt like to be discriminated just for being mixed by others that may have been against the fact of being born to two different races.
dang hong hai, the sub vocalist 2. he was such a quiet person that every time he sang you were blown away that he had such much talent in a quiet body. dawn wanted to make an effort in getting close to everyone on his team and he wanted to start with him.
haru, the sub vocalist 4. damn was he talented in what he did, dawn was shocked to see that he memorised the choreography really quickly. he was quiet just like dang hong hai but he had such a quirky personality that made him even more lovable, dawn was happy to choose him.
wumiti, the main rapper. he stepped up to the role as no one else was confident in rapping in korean, dawn was grateful for him as he was kinda like the sub leader every time dawn was struggling with something wumiti was there by his side.
haruto, the sub rapper 1. he was such a loud and funny person that made him so noticeable, he loved the attention and his rapping was so perfection, the way he pronounced each word made him sound good. his dancing was something you must not forget, he made dancing look fun and forget about all the stress in it.
vocal practise was over and dance was now up, now this was where dawn would need more assistance. he was confident with his rap and vocal skills but despite being told that he was able to dance quite well, he never really felt confident and comfortable dancing especially since he's torn his acl before.
he was an amazing dancer but when he rehearsing one day, he tore his acl and that was when the fear of dancing to his best was created. slowly each day, he knew that he was getting better but he wasn't as good as he was back in his trainee days before he tore his knee.
"dawn. you look like you're going easy, if you really want to win, please dance to the fullest." haru said in a calm way as he didn't anyone to hear him helping dawn, it hurted dawn that he wasn't able to tell anyone or else he would be seen as less competitive or useful.
he was scared that he would injure his knee once again and that was something that couldn't happen. he had to tell someone or else everyone would pick on him for not going to the fullest, dawn had one person in his mind, haruto. he was understanding and was a good dancer so perhaps he was going to be more sympathetic to him.
"what's up?" haruto said as dawn went to the other side where k team was currently performing, haruto was kinda nervous as he didn't want dawn to tell him any bad news.
"i need to tell you something as it affects our performance. i've torn my acl in the past which affected my dancing, that explains why i haven't been dancing to the fullest. i just feel like you would understand since you're one of the few people i could tell, so is there anyway you could help me?"
"i see, that explains a bit. before you're gonna say anything, i wont tell anyone but i think you should slowly focus on pushing yourself and then you'll do it." haruto gave him some advice that dawn took in as he wanted to be the best in every department, dawn was grateful that he wouldn't tell anyone.
as they headed back, jay was also curious on what happened but dawn lied and told him that he hurt his fingers. jay immediately had a look at his fingers and noticed he was lying however he just decided to play into lies as he believed there was something deeper than that.
"dawn, can i speak to you?"
