Travis' POV

December 13th. Tay's birthday. It was her favourite day, maybe more so than christmas, which was insane, since she loved christmas.

I had the perfect day planned, and I was possibly more excited than her. At 7 am, I got up, which was probably the first time since high school that I'd waken up so early.

Taylor was thankfully sound asleep, her blond locks splayed out across the pillow. I did my best to get up without too much movement to prevent waking her and once successfully out went straight to the kitchen.

The plan was simple: french toast. One problem: If I cook, I might burn down the whole kitchen. Lucky for me, I had gotten Ky to teach me a couple days ago when I went over, so we should be good.

It took me 15 minutes to finish a stupid french toast that took most people 5. I shook my head in disbelief but still placed it on the small tray I had set up with a glass of orange juice and slowly and carefully made my way up.

don't spill don't spill don't spill

As soon as I reached the room, opening the door with a creak, I saw Taylor lying on her side, phone in hand.

"Morning." I grinned at her as she looked up at me. As soon as she saw the tray, she gasped, smiling.

"You didn't burn the house down?" She jokingly asked as she sat up, allowing me to place the tray down across her lap.

"No Ma'am." I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "Happy birthday, princess."

"Thanks Trav. How did- how did you pull this off without killing someone in the process?" She asked, taking a bite. "This is really good by the way. You wanna try some?" She tore off a tiny piece, lifting it up to give me.

I ate the tiny bit. "Not bad. And I got some help from Ky. She's really the best sister ever." I grinned.

"Tell her that our kitchen thanks her." She laughs, downing some of the toast.

-After breakfast-

Taylor's POV
I seriously couldn't believe how kind Trav was. He knew everything that I liked, knew how I liked it, and when I needed it.

He told me he wasn't gonna be able to be around much the whole day due to practice, which was a little upsetting but I let it pass. I understood that we both had busy schedules and it would be a lot to ask of him to cancel that just for me.

I walked downstairs at around 12.30 p.m. after recieving a text from Brandon, my security guy, saying there was food that arrived. It was a little confusing, since I hadn't ordered anything.

I gasped. The table was covered in enough food for three people. Then Brandon came and tapped me on the shoulder.

"You have guests coming." He said simply.

My eyebrows scrunched in confusion. "Who?"

He smiled a little deviously, "I'm afraid Mr. Kelce has asked me not to tell you. However, they will arrive in 2 minutes."

Travis? So he had something to do with this. "Alright then, thanks Brandon."

"No problem Miss Swift. And happy birthday." He nodded and walked off to his post.

Quite literally two minutes later, my doorbell rang. I practically ran to the door and yanked it open.

"Blake, Ryan! Oh my gosh, hi!" I gasped, smiling from ear to ear.

"I smell food!" Ryan declared, causing Blake to elbow him in the stomach. "Can you think about something that isn't food for five seconds?" She turned to me, smiling, "Happy brithday Tay." I hugged her tight.

"I'm so glad to see you." I whispered in her ear.

"Yeah, well, we are only here until tomorrow morning, but we wouldn't miss your birthday for the world." Ryan interjected. Blake nodded.

"Well come in! There is a lot of food." I laughed.

-After eating-
"Bye Taylor! See you soon, dear. Take care, alright?" Blake said, hugging me tight.

"Always. Tell the girls hi for me, will you?" She nodded.

"Enjoy your surprise tonight." She winked, and then both her and Ryan had a beeline for their car, wanting to avoid questions from a very confused me.

Brandon
There's something at your doorstep.

Taylor
Send it up

Brandon
Oh no, you're gonna wanna see this

I frowned. Brandon rarely denied requests, so I decided to go check it out.

As I cracked the door open to peek, a glimpse pf colours filled my doorstep. I opened the door wider to find a large bouquet of different flowers. In the center was a white card. I quickly brought the bouquet inside before I was seen and checked the note.

"Happy birthday Taylor. There's a present for you in your closet, see you soon ;)

-Trav <3"

I smiled softly. He really was the definition of "if he wanted to, he would". I loved him to bits.

I went back up to the closet and saw a bag sitting on the floor. I cautiously picked it up and peeked inside to find a beautiful blue dress with spagetti straps.

"Oh Trav." I whispered.

"Yeah?" I whipped my head around to find Travis standing there, grin plastered on his face. I jumped into his arms as he caught me easily, kissing me.

"Thank you! Blake and Ryan? The flowers? I loved all of it. Thank you." I smiled at him, my arms wrapped around his neck.

"Anytime. Does the, uh, dress fit? I wasn't sure what size to get and just based it on the dresses you already own and checked with Tree. She said to get this size."

"I'll go try it on."

"Well hurry up, cuz we got reservations to get to!" He winked at me before gently pushing me to the toilet to change.

I put the dress on but couldn't reach the zipper. I walked out and turned around. "Help me with the zipper will you?"

I heard the faint sound of the zip sealing up, and he patted me on the back to let me know he was done.

"What do you think?" I asked nervously, looking up at him.

"Holy shit Taylor you look amazing."

I blushed, smiling. It was as if the whole world slowed down when he said my name.

"You don't look so bad yourself." I teased. Trav was wearing a tux with a plait pattern, the colors being somewhat similar to that of Evermore's.

"Alright now, we gotta go Princess. C'mon." He reached out to take my hand, which I did happily.

When we reached the place, it was pitch black. Was it closed? Trav didn't seem fazed though, so I decided to trust him and go for it.

The moment I stepped in, I heard the sounds of whispers stopping and a few seconds later, the lights flickered on, and a loud chorus of, "Surprise!" came from every side.

Standing around me was all of my closest friends. Selena, who was nearest to me, hugged me fiercely. "Happy birthday girl."

"How were you able to not tell me when we went out yesterday?" I asked incredulously.

"Believe me, it was not easy." She laughed.

I surveyed the room. The HAIM sisters, Jack, Blake and Ryan...

"Thank you!" I exclaimed, hugging Trav.

"Anything for you."
