A young woman walks through the isles of a library, dissatisfied.

The only reason she had sailed to this island was for the possibility that the libraries here would have any information in regards or about ancient languages. She had already searched in four previous islands, so she was strongly hoping that the fifth time would be the charm.

Coming to a stop at the end of the isle, the woman can only let out a tired sigh. She has already gone through every book there at least twice and even interrogated all the employees about the possibility of some books being hidden.

Accepting that she is empty handed once again, she silently leaves the building but not before adjusting her hood.

She may be here on private business, but that doesn't stop her wanted poster from being seen or bounty hunters from trying to take her head.

It's not like she couldn't fight them, and normally she'd do it with delight as she enjoys fighting, but at this point she just didn't want to waste valuable time on idiots.

She walks down a stone path leading into a wooded area, just as the moon begins to rise. Making note of how late it is, the young woman decides it to be best if she waited until the next day to leave early in the morning and to contact her brother, Sabo, in the slight chance he found any new leads for her.

Arriving to her makeshift base, she readjusts her hood before hurrying inside.

Once inside, she takes a moment to inspect the room through the darkness to be sure nothing is out of place.  The room is mostly barren, with only a bland twin-sized bed, a desk with a lantern, several books and papers scattered across it, and a wooden chair with her shoulder bag slung over it.

Satisfied, she makes her way to her desk and lights the lantern, the flame strong enough to illuminate the entire room.

Pulling out the chair and sitting, she goes through all the papers and notes she made. All of it only containing ideas of what could possibly be going on, but no real answers or connections to one another.

Tiredly, she leans back into the chair before reaching for her bag. As she rummages through it, looking for the mysterious letter she had received two weeks ago, she sees her transponder snail and grabs it out to place in front of herself on the desk.

Maybe she should contact and update her other brother and friends on her situation?

No, while they all care about her deeply and would want to help her more, there isn't anything they can really do. Nico Robin already tried looking into what the letters could be, but found nothing. She and Sabo both agreed that if there were answers anywhere, the revolutionary army might know where those answers could be.

So they gave the young woman the locations of a few bases and hidden libraries that might have knowledge about ancient languages and history.

She can't just ask them to put their adventures and dreams on pause to help her figure this out, and she refuses to ignore the letters to continue traveling with the straw hats as if nothing happened.

12 years.

It's been 12 years since she last saw Morro, since he sacrificed himself so she could escape and survive, that was also the last time she really saw or interacted with his crow. That crow was by his side day and night, only leaving when Morro told him to stay with her or to guide her somewhere.

After 12 years, why would his crow show up out of nowhere just to deliver her letters in an unknown language and with no obvious return address? It has to be connected to Morro somehow, some sort of final message.

As she looks over everything on the desk, her vision starts to blur out of exhaustion. She has been traveling nonstop for these weeks, so it was only a matter of time until the lack of sleep caught up with her. Laying her head on the desk in front of her, she doesn't bother moving to the bed.

She's planning on leaving early in the morning, no point in getting comfortable.

Slowly as she's lulled deeper into sleep, the woman is barely able to make out the sound of hooves and a carriage coming from outside.

Yet before she can do anything, Y/n's world fades into darkness.
