The Love of Hanaku (Killua x OC)

Chapter 7

A lot of time passed and after we finally got out of that room, we were back where we started. We went through so much and we wound up back where we started. "Thirty mins of running and we're right back where we started." Leorio said.

"Didn't I tell you we should have taken the stairs down?" Kil said bluntly. "This is the route we all agree upon, so why don't you just shut your big mouth!!!" Leorio screamed. "JEEZ. Why do you have to be so loud?" I complained.

We continued and we all almost died so many times. We had to go on a rollercoaster, we had to run across a path that was falling apart as we went, and got chased by a boulder. We ended up at a door. "We're supposed to vote whether to open the door? We need to move, so the choice is pretty clear." Leorio said.

We all pressed the button to move on but then we realized someone picked the wrong one. Leorio assumed it was Tonpa since Tonpa had mentioned that he doesn't care about the Hunter exam, and only wants to sabotage other applicants.

"Sorry Leorio, I pressed the wrong button by mistake." Gon said innocently. Leorio let go of his anger for Tonpa. "Hold on. I think you owe me an apology. You think I'm just gonna let that slide?" Tonpa said, starting an argument. "Maybe if you weren't always doing shady stuff, this kinda thing wouldn't happen. I don't owe you a thing." Leorio said.

Oh my goodness. Here we go again. "It almost sounds like you're tryna say I'm the one to blame for everything that's gone wrong." "What's that?" "Don't tell me. Have you already forgotten who it was who cost us those 50 hours? Memory serves, I'm pretty sure that honor goes to you." Tonpa insulted.

Then Leorio sat his stuff down, and got into a fighting position. Tonpa followed. Kurapika tried to stop him but he told him to shut up. Yeah, it was crazy. I went over to Leorio and kicked him in the shin. I did the same with Tonpa. Then we heard Kil speak. "Hey Gon, Hana! We must be getting real close to the end." "Whoa, really." "FINALLY! I was getting tired of this place." I said.

"You sure are complaining a lot lately. Ever since your fight." Kurapika said. "Yeah, well a lot of annoying things have been happening lately."

We walked in and saw two doors marking x and o and a giant fish lady in between them. Then Kil read what was written on the wall. " Let's see. This will be the last decision made by majority rule. Are you ready? Choose 'X' or 'O'. And that's it." "Am I ready? OfI am. Let's do this!" Leorio said. We all chose x and somebody chose o. "Bastard!" "Let it go! We don't have time to argue!" Kurapika stopped him.

The fish lady then spoke. "Please select a path. There are two available options to choose from. The long and difficult path, which the whole group can take, or the short and easy path, which will be limited to only three of you. If you choose the long and difficult path, it will take 45 hours to complete, while the short and easy path will only take 3 mins and take you straight to the goal.

Press 'O' to select the long and difficult path and press 'X' to select the short and easy path. If 'X' is selected two applicants from your group must be chained to the wall with handcuffs before the door will open. Those applicants will be unable to move until the time limit has expired."

We all looked around. "They've thought of everything. Look around. Every weapon I've ever heard of is down here." Kil said. "So, two out of five, huh? They must expect us to fight to decide which three pass." Kurapika said. "Wait, you know every weapon that's down here Kil?" I asked surprised. "That's the only thing you heard this whole time?" Kil said with a sigh.

"Alright. I wanna make this clear. I'm pressing the 'X' button, but I'm not staying behind. I'm gonna be one of the three that's moving on, and I'll do whatever it takes." Leorio spoke. "You're one to talk. We could'a taken the long path if you hadn't wasted 50 hours.

Why don't you do the right thing and stay behind to make up for it?" Tonpa said. "What's that?" "I'm with Tonpa this time." I spoke up. "What are you saying right now Hanaku!" "Hey I'm just saying you did cost us 50 hours, you take some responsibility."

Then Gon spoke up. "Hold on a sec. I'm going to press 'O'. It's just, we made it this far by working together. We should finish together." "Oh, Gon. That's not gonna work this time. Only three of us can pass and there's no way around it." I said. "It's a big risk, I know. But we've got gotta try!"

"Oh, come on! It's not a question of being a risk. We've got less than an hour. Gon. There's only one way to pass. I mean it's obvious." Kil said. "Well there you have it kid." Leorio said, looking like he felt sorry for him. "So, now we have to pick which three advance. If it were up to me, it would be me, you, and Hana." Kil said. He pointed at me as I stood slightly behind him.

We all stood there for a second, just looking at each other. Then Tonpa attacked Leorio. I saw Kurapika pull out his wooden sticks. Then Leorio picked up a weapon and defended himself. "Stop it! Both of you!" Kurapika shouted. "We don't have to start fighting until we pick 'X' or 'O' ya idiot!" Leorio said. "It's too late for that!" Tonpa said. "Then I guess I'll just have to choose for you!" Lerio said.

"I saw Gon look over at the wall Tonpa's weapon crashed into. "Gon. Whatcha thinkin?" I whispered to him. "I think I have an idea. Grab a weapon." "Looks like fighting is our only option." Kil said, sharpening his nails.

We finally made it to the bottom of the tower. Leorio and Tonpa were pushing each other as we walked through the door. "Man would you hurry up!" I complained. I was all the way in the back. "Leorio, number 403, is the 20th to pass, Tonpa, number 16, is the 21st to pass.

Kurapika, number 404 is the 22nd to pass, Gon, number 405 is the 23rd to pass, Killua, number 99, is the 24th to pass, and Hanaku, number 400, is the 25th to pass. Time elapsed, 71 hours and 59 mins." the intercom said.

"Boy, my butt hurts! I certainly didn't expect that short and easy path to be a slide." Kil said. "Forget your butt, my hands! They're covered in blisters!!" I screamed at Kil. "Same here! My hands are wrecked, but all five of us cleared the tower together, didn't we? And it's all thanks to Gon!" Leorio said. "Yeah Gon! That idea was clutch! You're amazing!!!"

"I can't believe you came up with that plan on the spot!" Leorio said. We all chose the long and difficult path and then used the weapons to break the wall and sneak into the short and easy path. Though it almost took up all the time we had left.

"The third phase of the Hunter exam is now over! 25 applicants have passed, including one deceased." the intercom said. Then a door opened leading us outside. We all walked out to our revealed examiner.
