"Put simply, this is Nen. Nen is a power that dwells within everyone. However, only a few people in the world can use it. So they are treated as geniuses, leaders, physics, mystics, or superhuman." Wing explained.
"A power that dwells within everyone..." Kil said. "Yes. And there are two ways in which you can awaken this power. Either slow and steady, or by force. Zushi took the slow and steady path. He learned fast and trained hard. He was able to awaken his power in only six months." Wing said.
"That's way too long! We need to learn this before midnight." Kil said. "Yes. Which is why it unfortunate that we have to resort to drastic measures like this. With your natural talent, you probably would have awaken your nodes in a week or less." Wing said.
All of us gasped. Are we really that talented? Wing explained some other stuff, and shattered a wall and stuff, but then he finally got to the good part and was about to "jolt" our aura nodes open. "Take off your jackets and face away from me." Wing ordered.
Long story short. Wing opened all of our nodes, we learned how to keep it from seeping out, and then we trained a little before going back to challenge Hisoka and his barrier.
—----
We walked into the hallway. Hisoka was still sitting there, playing with his deck of cards. "Hm...." Hisoka said. He waved his hand in front of us again, but this time was different. We had learned Ten now, and we could defend against his barrier.
We walked straight forward, and beat Hisoka's barrier. Hisoka smiled. "Hm...Welcome to the 200th floor. No traditional initiation is necessary. I think I can guess why you came here. You wanted to get some training in before challenging me, am I right?" Hisoka said.
"Yeah. But I didn't expect to find you here. That saves me the trouble of looking for you." Gon said. "You shouldn't get ahead of yourselves just because you managed to learn Ten. You still have much to learn about nen.
To be honest, I feel absolutely no urge to fight you right now." Hisoka said, standing up afterwards. "However..If you managed to win a single match on this floor, then I'll fight you anytime." Hisoka said walking away.
We watched him walk away. "Let's go." Kil said. "Right." Me and Gon said. We got to reception desk. "Welcome to the 200th floor. Please fill out these forms. Would you like to register for a match right now?" The lady asked with a big smile.
We all looked at each other. "In this class, there is a self service system by which you are permitted to 90 days of preparation. You may choose to fight any day during that time. Of course you'll be free to fight everyday,
Or you can wait until the very last minute if you'd like. Once you've fought, your 90 days of preparation will rest. However if you don't fight before the 90 days of preparation are over, you'll be disqualified." The lady explained. "Hold on. We're going to have more than one match on this floor?" Gon asked. "Yes. You need ten wins to clear this floor.
However, if you lose four times before you get 10 wins it's game over. If you do get ten wins then you get to challenge a floor master!! The floor masters are 20 of the strongest fighters here. Each of them has one whole floor to themselves. From 230 to 250.
Do you understand? If you defeat one of the floor masters, you get to be the new master of that floor!!!" The lady said enthusiastically. We had no reaction. "Th-That's not all. If you become a floor master, you earn the right to take part in the Battle Olympia!!!" She said. Again, way too enthusiastic.
"Forget about that. Is there anything special about the top floor?" Kil asked. "That's what you want to know?! The champion of the battle olympia get to live on the top floor, how bout that!? It's a huge honor. I penthouse 1,000 meters up is a life of luxury." The lady said.
"Yeah, but your house 3,700 meters up right, Killua?" Gon asked. "Oh yeah." I said, lifing a hand to my chin. "B-but wait, there's more. The winner of the battle olympia..." Kil cut her off. "Well guys, what do say? If that's the top floor big secret, then I don't care anymore." Kil said.
"Yeah, same here." I agreed. "Yeah, I just want to fight with Hisoka." Gon said. "Well, that means you have to rank up a win, Gon." I said. "But you're gonna wait a bit aren't ya?" Kil said. Gon clenched his fist, with a smirk on his face.
"Nope. I want to see just how different these opponents are. "In that case, I'll need you to fill out this form too." The lady said sounding pretty upset. "Kay" Gon said.
Just then, three men showed up behind us. One had a prosthetic leg, another one didn't have a arm, and the last one was in a wheelchair. "You need something?" Kil asked. "You get lost?" I asked. "No, not really." the one in the wheelchair said.
"Were just waiting to sign up for a fight." The one with no arm said. The one with no leg started laughing. Me and Kil looked at them for a sec then Kil sighed. "I think I get it. Gon. I think these guys want to fight on the same day as you do." Kil said.
Gon looked back, then continued to fill out the papers. He finished, and gave the lady back the papers. 'Right! I'm ready when every. Just let me know." Gon said confidently. "There you go." Kil said, while just stood there looking at them sternly.
"This boy has plenty of spunk." no arm guy said. No leg guy started laughing again. Why are they so weird, and creepy.
"Now then! Gon you'll be in room 2207, Killua you'l be in room 2223, and Hanaku you'll be in room 2235. We'll let you know when your next match is." the lady said, in a happier mood again. She handed us our keys, and we made our way to Gon's room.
—---
"Looks like those guys went through the same initiation four eyes mentioned. If we had gone in blind, we could have ended up just like them." Kil said. Me and Gon was busy exploring the new rooms we got.
"Wow! I've never seen a bed so big in my life!" Gon said. "Look at this bathroom! It's so shiny!" I said. I ran jumped on Gon's bed, and started bouncing on it like a trampoline. "So bouncy!!" I said. "Look Killua!" Gon said running over to the window.
Then we heard a beep sound. I stopped bouncing on the bed and sat there. I looked over to the TV and it said what time Gon's match was. "Tomorrow! So soon." Kil said. Then Gon turned on his aura.
"I want to see what I can do with this new power." Gon said. "You know Ten is only defense. I don't see how much you could do with this "new power" of yours." I said, laying down the bed. "I probably won't win tomorrow. But I don't care. I just need the experience." Gon said smiling.
"You're so Gon. You know that?" I said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Gon said.
—--
Me and Kil was sitting in the stance waiting for Gon's match to start. "Kiiiiil why did we come so early? I'm tired." I said groaning. "Quit your complaining. We had to get good seats." Kil said. "But these aren't even good seats! I can't see a thing." I said.
"Then just sit on my lap." Kil said. "W-What!" I screamed. Kil then grabbed me by my waist and sat me on his lap. He held me tightly by the waist so I wouldn't lose my balance. "Can you see now?" Kil asked.
My face heat up. I think I was red as a tomato. "U-Uh...Oh, yeah." I responded. I gasped. "Can you see? I'm not too heavy am I?!" I asked self conscious. "Yes to the first question and No to the second. Don't worry about me. I'm with you, so I'm especially fine." Kil mumbled the last part.
"Whaaaaaat!" I yelled. "What, what???" Kil screamed looking around, thinking there was trouble. "What did you just say!?!?" I said, pointing at him. "I didn't say anything, moron!" Kil said. "You did!" I screamed.
"Idiot." Kil said turning away from me. I gasped. I remembered what Gon had said before. "But I also know that he's been blushing at you for a while too now. Ya know, whenever he turns his back to you." Is this one of the moments Gon was talking about?
