"(Y/N) whats your status?" Clint's voice was hushed.
"Give me a sec." You replied and took out two guys with punches and kicks.
Another man came running to you and you sweeped his legs making him fall on his back. You made sure he was unconscious before talking to Clint through your earpiece.
"Second level is cle-" you were cut off when you felt something cold pressed behind your back.
"Put your weapons down and you shall live." A russian accent spoke.
Clint was calling for you over and over but you couldn't say anything in fear of getting shot. The man just laughed.
"So nice of you to join us Agent (L/N)." He smirked.
"Yea, the last time i nearly killed your whole army. I was hoping I wouldn't be on the black list to the party." You kept your face straight.
The man holding the gun to your back nudged you. Your breathing was getting really ragged.
"Too bad your beloved Agent Barton isn't here aye?" He laughed.
Just then an arrow whizzed through the air and pierced into a wall, just centimetres away from the HYDRA man's head.
With him and the man behind you distracted, you managed to kick the gun out of his hand and twisted his arm. He was thrown to the ground and was knocked unconscious.
The HYDRA man now had the gun is his hand, pointed at you. You froze. He laughed.
"Goodbye Agent (L/N)." He taunted and shot but he missed and got your shoulder.
You grabbed your shoulder in pain as you saw his lifeless body on the ground with an arrow lodged into his back. You smiled and at the same time you heard a thud behind you. You picked up the gun and pointed it at the source.
"(Y/N), its me, its ok." He put his hands up.
You sighed in relief, droppped the gun and ran to him hugging him.
"Oh my gosh Katniss...Thank you." You cried into his chest.
"Hey, hey... cmon, i was just a distraction. You were kicking some ass there Short Stack." He pat you on the head.
You suddenly went limp and almost fell but he caught you in time. He noticed the blood on his shirt now and realised.
"Agent Barton here, we have an injured agent and we need medical assistance ASAP. I repeat. We are in need of medical assistance."
He said into his earpiece.
"Short stack, babe, please stay with me ok... Don't sleep, just, keep your eyes open a little bit more ok? You're gonna be alright." He gently stroked your hair.
"I love you Katniss..." you murmured and it all went black.

You woke up in a bright room and immediately saw Clint coming in with a bouquet of flowers.
"Clint? T-The mission? Was it completed?" You croaked.
He explained everything that happened. How while you were in your dilemma a few other agents had sneaked in and done the job. You were happy and that was all you wanted to know.
"Waking up in a hospital, after getting shot, and the first thing you think of... is work? Not even your little boobear here?" Clint pouted.
"You were the last thing I thought of before blacking out." You shrugged.
"Now Short Stack, I know you were in a huge dilemma but seriously, you kicked some ass that day." He laughed.
"Thank you Katniss, though without your help I would have been dead. So thank you." You smiled and he gave you a peck on the lips.
"I love you (Y/N)..." he whispered.
"I love you too Clint..." you smile.
