"Fitz! Run!" You shouted as the men came charging at you.
He broke off into a sprint and escaped while you beat up the guys. You jumped and did a split, kicking two men in the face while shooting the one in front of you. Then, you turned around and kicked the guy in between his legs. There was a mess of groaning men after you were done.
"Fitz, get back here." You ran to him.
He was sitting there stunned at how flexible and fast you were.
"Wow, I've never been more impressed by a woman, b-besides Simmons, that is... but wow you were... um... um... gosh whats the word...Amazing! Yes, yea..." He gushed.
You smiled but quickly pulled him up to get your mission done.
"Nice to see you too (Y/N)..." a voice echoed.
Your jaw tightened and fists clenched.
"Its been a long time." Ward stepped out of the shadows with a gun pointed to you and Fitz. You pointed your gun at him.
"Yea... I don't miss you." You said calmly.
You shielded Fitz as best as you can.
"Awww, I was hoping we could go out for that drink we agreed on." He taunted.
"Over my dead body." You grit your teeth.
"Very well." He smiled and you squeezed your eyes shut.
Two shots were heard. You felt a huge pain in your side. When you opened your eyes, Ward was on the ground clutching his side and Fitz had an extra gun in his hand.
"H-he was threatening you... He was gonna...gonna... um...." He was so frazzled.
Turns out, Fitz shot him first which caused him to lose aim. You interupted his rambling.
"Thanks Fitz..." you gave a small smile.
He rushed over to aid you.
"Phil, (Y/N) just got...um...Shot! Yes, shot. We're gonna need to get back on the bus." He talked through the comms.
"Fitz, Im fine. Just get the mission done so we can get out of this dump." You groaned.
He nodded and proceeded with the mission. The plane picked you up a few minutes later.
"Thanks for saving my life." You gave him a small smile.
"I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't." He smiled back.
"I had her back the whole time, shot a few other guys too. They were rather strong... but I managed fine with (Y/N)." He whispered to May.
She just shook her head at his nonsense.
